      Bild?

When I was really young I once had a very very vivid and lucid dream. I also figured out that I could bend the dream and make it more fun for myself so I began to fly. At a young age this was an amazing thing to discover. I wanted to do the same the next night and incredibly all I really had to do was think: 'Okay, I'm definately going to have a dream tonight where I know I am dreaming and can have super powers.' Guess what? It worked perfectly! I went back to the same location and had the same if not more control than the first time. It was great and sadly I forgot about it.

I recently found Dream Views and lots more lucid dreamers, alot later on from my previous experience. Even more recently I thought that maybe this past experience meant I could be a very skilled lucid dreamer. BILD stands for belief induced lucid dream and I think that by simply believing you will become lucid you can do it. This theory also is similar to the law of attraction (some may know it as the secret). It is difficult to completely believe it without doubt but I think that once you have done it a few times it will be extremely easy to induce lucids. Maybe this will only work with a few people, but I would like to know what you think and whether or not you think it would be possible for me to get back into being able to induce lucids just with a thought.
NOTE: I am not saying this method should mean you dont have a dream journal or do reality checks, you should do these things regardless of your method.

      Thanks for reading!

Yes, you can. Success in Tibetan Dream Yoga, in a large part, is contingent upon a strong intention to become aware of the dreamscape before sleeping.

Many people who become interested in lucid dreaming have a lucid dream that night, but then their success fails. Why? At the beginning their intention is fuelled with more than mere words, it has emotional enthusiasm. Excitement. On successive occasions, their intention is weakened by a lack of emotional input. And their intention to become lucid transforms into a mechanical utterance.

Ultimately, make your intention have power and energy. Invest cognitive and emotional effort in its assertion. Then, yes, it will work.

I've already read that, the more ancious you are to have a lucid dream, the harder it will become. But I think that BILD truly works. I've already read The Secret and I believe that the law of attraction is real. It worked for me several times.
As you said, it's hard to completly believe, and that's why it fails so many times.
But I believe in BILD and I hope you have lucid dreams again
