LD: Not Like Riding a Bike

When I first got back to LD hobby, I was expecting this to be much easier, since I had been a successful LDer about 20 years ago, I thought it would come back quickly - after all I used to do this, and I knew the theory and methods. And yet I find it is harder this time around then it was twenty years ago. I know I would not have pursued this hobby if it had been this hard to achieve back then since I was much less patient then than I am now. I think I forgot how to do it, and it's frustrating at times. I know it's worth it, and I am sticking with it, but I just wish it would work already, you know?

Sorry about that JoannaB! It is supposed to be easier when you're younger, but you have to keep up your confidence. I think that persistence is really hard, but it is key to LDing. The first time I tried LDing it took me one night. One year later I decided to try again and I tried for 45 nights, and like 30 naps and no LDs till that 45th night. I would recommend checking out my encouragement thread. Gotta keep on keeping on!
