Having a creative outlet help LD's?

I've just noticed that a number of people who have regular LD's seem to have creative outlets as well. It seems many here on DV have artistic abilities of some sort that they use on a regular basis. I'm just wondering if there might be a corolation of some sort there. Those that are able to express thier creativity have more luck with LD's

That might be right. You'd have the ability to create much more outworldish things, thus the added chance you'd notice it. If you aren't very creative, your dreams won't be as fantastical. They'll be mundane. So there's less chance for things to go weird, and thus less "anchors" into a lucid dream.

Well, I guess that might answer why I have had them since I was 3, since my creativity w/everything was somewhat high & weird.

Everyone has an imagination! IMAGINATION encircles the WORLD! It all depends on how you use your imagination creativity, like when you read a book (instead of just reading the words take the time to image the events unfold within your inner eye). This helps you to become more creative when you become Lucid.

I think being more creative with your imagination during the day helps to make your dreams more creative; therefore making your imagination more creative during sleep you can use that imagination during the day.

If that makes any sense (lol).

During a time that I have been exercising my creativity more, I seem to have more lucid dreams.

      Or...it may just be coincidence.

It's certainly possible, but the other possibility is that people who are creative are generally more interested in LDing, and so put more effort (consciously or otherwise) into having LDs.

Well I definitely hope so. All I do all day long is play instruments and draw or paint, that's when I'm not listening to music.
