[urgency] Currently in the middle of a WBTB, unprepared!

Okay so I went to bed around 1:45 and woke up at 7:30 this gave me approx. 6 hours of sleep and as a young adult I should have woken up somewhere in the REM cycle. My best guess is before or in the middle...

Anyways... I've been reading EtWoLD and I decided to do what Alan Worsley says to do (a guy mentioned in the book) he gets up at 7:30 and goes back to bed around 10! Now... Should I do this or just stay up for an hour like the tutorial here on DV says to do...

Ok, I think that it varies on the person. I myself stay up for no longer than 15 minutes. If you wake up quickly like I do, reduce the time. You want to be able to get back to sleep easily. Remember to RC often and think about lucid dreaming a lot. Personally I think that staying up until 10 is far too long. But whatever suits you

I will become lucid in the middle of the street in front of our house, I will be sitting down. It will be the early afternoon (still daylight). I will get up, walk over to my dad's gold truck which is parked on the street and I will rub my hands all over it as a way of anchoring myself to the world. I will feel the rubber edges around the window, I will hear it squeak as I rub my fingers across its surface, I will see the bugs on the bumper.

I will then drop to the ground and feel the asphalt, the roughness of it the coldness...

I will finally stand up, examine my hands, the wrinkles, the hairs, the fingernails...

Then I will look all around, to see the world before me, perfectly vivid and lucid...

(This was my dream script practice)

During WBTB periods, try to keep your brain in low gear so it's easier to fall back to sleep. Don't think about anything complicated or stressful, try to keep your mind blank as best you can.

However long you stayed up, you might want to reduce the time a little bit so you can get back to sleep next time. Also, try not to switch lights on or go on your computer because it just wakes you up more and makes it a lot harder to get to sleep.

      Good luck for next time!

Sometimes, for me with 10 to 20 minutes it's enough, i don't even keep track on this, i just wake up and then cuddle myself again until i fall asleep.
Don't try to force it, otherwise it will not happen, you have to relax and be comfortable, there is a really high chance that you will be dreaming after WBTB, even though you don't reach lucidity, you will be able to know yourself a little bit more, to know how your body and dreams work and aply what you learn next time.
