It seems like this actually works!

Here is an option that would work very similar, In fact I do this with great results on my phone.

This is an android alarm app that allows you to set custom alarms and custom ring tones.

Download it, set multiple alarms that auto snooze themselves throughout the night, use your own recorded audio files as the alarms, and make them custom to say "you are dreaming, do a reality check" or whatever you like from there.. the autosnooze option keeps you from having to turn the alarm off, as it does it automatically.

Not sure, but this app should have an autosnooze option, if it doesnt find an alarm app on the google marketplace that does and use it.

G-Alarm is the App i use for this and it works awesome, except I use windows mobile, not android.

I AM SO MAD. Ok I ended up trying this app in the middle of the night since my WILD failed and I'm impatient, I heard the woman say "this is a dream" and I just ignored it!!!!!!!!! what the hell! I remember I was in the dream and heard this and I can't remember whether the dream ended, but I need to start using the ones that say "ARE you dreaming" so I question it.

what is your guys' experience with this?

The new update has a couple new settings including a "Are you dreaming?" option. So just hit settings and then "select dreams" and It'll all be there.

Since I'm using custom alarms instead of this app, what volume would you all recommend? Loud? Soft?

I think so. I set the alarms as loud as possible to be sure they wake me up. thats the important part for the method I use and I think this one.

Is it possible that I give someone here 1/2$ via paypal.

Forgive me for sounding stupid, but how wouldn't this wake you up?

I'm going to buy the app just because the developer has shown that he genuinely cares about customer satisfaction and input. Normally I don't give two shits about apps like this because I've tried similar things in the past but the developer taking his time to join the community and post what he did, sold me. Just goes to show that the mark of a great salesman is that people buy into YOU first and the product second.

Extra kudos if I become lucid because of it.

I did some voice work for the developer (who's an awesome guy - and yes really does care about his work) and he gave me a few promo codes for the app to give to my friends. So if you talk extra special nice to me I might be inclined to give you a code.

Well to answer your question, I am still playing with it. The ones with my voice are quieter now than the robot voice was. The robot voice used to always wake me up, but I find my voice actually is a little more on the quiet side, so I have it louder. Basically, you have to play with it. A lot.

You said it Owl! Your voice is so damn soothing compared to the robot voice. I finally managed to get the right volume setting with the robot (7), but I slept right through it last night on the same setting with your voice. Oh well, like you said I'll have to pump it up a little bit. It DEFINITELY takes some tinkering to find the right balance between loud enough to hear, but not so loud it wakes you up.

Tried it this night, but I woke up maybe 5 times...
Settings: 15 messages in the last 2 hour of my sleep.
I didn't become lucid but I had really the feeling I was never so close... even I didnt did a reality check..
Here are my 2 dreams:


1 Dream:
Vivid -
Dream started I was in the car with my little sitster and my dad he drive us to our mothers house so I stept out of the car. And was walking to my mothers house (Sister was not anymore in my dream... damn I didn't become lucid :p) then I wanna take my keys so I was going with my hands in my pocket and had a keychaing with about 20 keys so I was like WtFFF?! So I called my father that I had his keys.
Me " Hey I have your keys blabla)
Dad " Wow, u stole them? why you did that
Me " no i didnt i swear
Dad " ok I gonna pick them up
Me " Ok
So I hang-up then there came a buch of little kids maybe 15 kids (age 8) running near me.
Then a friend said hey Kevin let's go to the supermarket. I said no I need to wait for my father I have his keys..
Then the my dream scene skipped to that I was in the supermarket
Dream skipped to I was at a cafe
My father said blabla nice that you find my keys here you have 6 can's of beer
I'm 15 in real life he never would give this in real life, lol.
But the cans from heineken were weird I can't get them in my hands they were falling whole time..
I gave 3 cans to a guy who worked there at the cafe and he let the cans fall to whole time
So I was going to the bar bar (When you can buy alcohol etc..) And I put the cans on the table and they where whole time moving they were unstable you can't set them still.... they were magic or something, lol.
Then I saw my mother and she was like WTF how you get beer.
Dream ended?

2 Dream:
Blurry dream
Was in a game but the graphics were horrible (Like a iPhone/iPod FPS game) I was shooting blue/red zombies and I cannot move only aim at the zombies and shoot them I remember that I was at a map from Modern Warfare 2 "Skidrow map".
