1. Found my dream guide?! Entry 8

by , 02-18-2011 at 04:11 PM
Started off in my house and I realized I was lucid
Went to my window which was dark and weird and I wanted to make a certain person appear. Sure enough, they came walking down the road and I let them inside, it was a female, so you can get a good idea of what I had in mind, but they were very unhappy and didn't really want to be with me it seemed. Don't remember how it ended, but that certain DC seemed really odd.

Next thing I remember was being on a field playing soccer, not too sure who, but knowing myself I probably made it Manchester United. Kicking the ball felt so real, but for most of the dreams in this entry, I only had a little bit of control.

I remember fragments of other parts of dreams and I remember asking a lot of DCs who my dream guide was, and they all said the same person, we'll call that person H. However, what's weird is that H is the person mentioned in the beginning of this entry who seemed really weird. Next time I'm in a dream I'm going to try and ask THEM.

Although I didn't have full control and some parts didn't seem fully lucid, I know I was lucid in some parts because I was aware of my dreaming and some of my commands were spot on.

WAIT! I just remembered, I was doing something back in my house in my later dream and H was still there and I tried the "You're just a figment of my imagination" and turned away. I've never tried this on a DC before, but I know its supposed to make them disappear, and she didnt! Could they be my dream guide?

Don't remember all the parts of this, but I remember thinking that it was really long, and ended with me opening my eyes in real life, not closing in dream world, but opening my RL eyes all of a sudden. I also remember that the view of everything was sort of dark, and I tried the spinning technique at one point. Now, however, I remember the "MORE CLARITY" command. I'll try that next time.

2. Entry Seven - 2nd Lucid (sort of)

by , 02-11-2011 at 01:45 AM
Last night I believe I had a mixture of lucid dreaming and normal dreaming in one dream, but I only remember parts and from the lucid parts I remember, I don't remember having much control, but read on...

Anyways, I decided to try FILD last night and I believe it worked, as this is the first lucid I've had in around a week, trying every night with WBTB. Since I can't remember the beginning of the dream, its hard to say whether it was the result of FILD or not, I really need to improve my dream recall.

Anyways, the first part I remember seems to be non lucid, as I was in my garage and two of my friends were there and I was telling them about the FILD technique. My theory is that it worked and I was ecstatic, and in the process of moving from my bed (FILD almost always starts as a seeming failure/FA) throughout my house, I lost lucidity, but my dream continued to be about FILD as it was on my mind.

Next, I remember being in my kitchen to tell my sister about FILD also, but she was screaming at me for something. It was hectic and I tried to make her disappear by swiping my hand horizontally across in the air and saying "Go away" or "Disappear" or something, which failed. I don't remember much more than this, but I believe for this part I was lucid or I probably wouldn't be trying to make my sister just disappear :P

Not too sure if this all was the result of FILD or not, like I said. But I have a pretty good feeling it was, but its just my dream recall that is failing me. Ill need to work on it, I've heard a banana aids vividness and recall ability, so I'll try that tonight. I'll also be trying FILD again. LDing is really exciting!

Sorta disappointed in my dreaming last night. Only remembered one very, very short dream. I really need to work on my dream recall, but I know it will get better if I consistently record dreams. It just irks me that I could be having lucid dreams nightly but I just don't remember them. Anyways, here's the dream.

I was having a one on one talk with Arsene Wenger and he was making a funny impersonation of someone. That's about all I remember.

Lets hope for recalled lucid #2 tonight, I'll be heading up to bed soon.

4. Entry Five - Bunch of Nap Dreams

The following entries were all during a nap from around 3:30pm to 6pm. Keep in mind that my first lucid dream was also during a nap, and in this one I remembered more dreams than I typically do in one night.

Dream 1
Was talking with a friend who wanted to work for me (?) which is funny because I don't have a business of any sort. Somehow we got to talking about the Super Bowl and I told him that I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl. Short dream.

Dream 2
Was going out to eat with my parents in a sort of mini-mall with three stores: one being the restaurant and the other two being a coffee shop and Barnes and Noble. My dad was going to reserve us a seat and asked my mom to get him a coffee while he did that, so I asked my mom if I could go get a book in the meantime. As a result of my lucid dream obsession lately, the book I had in mind was "Exploring Lucid Dreaming" by Steven LaBerge. I'm planning on getting that in real life soon, but the last time I was in Barnes and Noble I didn't know about that book but was indeed looking for lucid dreaming books, which I couldn't find and was too embarrassed to ask a clerk about it, and all the search computers there are for just the clerks to use. Anyways, upon entering the section of the mall where the book store is, a clerk told me that they were closed, but I knew for some reason that she just said that, when I asked when they close at she said 8:15, it was 8:08 , should have been a cue that I was dreaming.

Anyways, I was going to go down the stairs into the main area, but it looked massive and I didn't want to happen what happened when I went searching for lucid dreaming books in real life, getting odd looks entering the "Self Help" section, infested with only middle aged women. So instead I looked for computers to tell me what section the book was in, as this way I could get in, get my book, and get out quickly. I found a circle of computers, but they didn't have the usual Barnes and Noble search program they have all the computers on there, but instead it was just running a regular Windows OS (I think 2000, the one with the bottom menu gray). I didn't find my book so I nervously asked a clerk as I was running out of time. She directed me to the place and I found a different lucid dreaming book what was similar to what I was looking for.

I don't remember checking out my book at the register, but going back to the restaurant and looking down at the book in the see-through bag they give you, so I must have paid at some point :P. When I looked at the book, this time it was the Steven LaBerge book and not the one I had bought! This should have been a clear cut dream cue, just goes to show you how bad I am at this...

Dream 3
My friend was asking me for his running shoes back (we're both on cross-country team and I borrowed his shoes on Thursday when he wasn't there because I forgot mine [irl]), we were right next to my locker and I opened them up and gave them to him. He was then telling me about how he was upset that I did this because he needed them, and then I explained to him that he didn't need them because we didn't have practice Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, and it was Monday, so he wouldn't have ever needed them in between. He stopped arguing, as if he was just making sure I was paying attention or something.

Dream 4
This dream was really odd, and I only remember parts of it which don't seem to fit together well. I was with a friend who isn't all that bright. We were in some sort of odd but mystical world that felt to be inhabited by evil presence of some sort. Anyways, there were these objects that we needed to break for some reason. One looked like a stone bowl, another two were like these plant pots made of cement that were sort of decorative, and the third was like a wooden palate that forklift things carry.

We tried two things, throwing them on the ground and hitting them with a hammer, but I deduced that because they were "shape-shifters" we needed to do both at once to break them, which worked to an extent but the timing was all off, which doesn't make any sense. All I remember was that the timing was off, but we were slowly breaking up one of the palates but couldn't entirely because the timing was off. Another odd but funny part was that as I was trying to break it, my not so bright friend was attempting to use slices of white bread to hold it together. Really odd.

Boy, do I have weird dreams, which also aren't very exciting. I wanted to nap because I had my first lucid the last time I napped around this time. Why is it that I dream more during naps? And why do they also seem more vivid? Just wish I could have another lucid.

After recording dreams for around two weeks, even though I was too lazy to record every one, I finally had my first lucid dream. I was in a bathroom filled with very creepy looking men, not paying attention to me, but just normally moving about the room. I spotted one that I remembered from a previous dream (I think I have a lot of short little dreams because whenever I wake up from one I always remember some aspect of it being from some earlier dream I have no recollection of but that aspect, usually people.) Think this guy was a sex offender on the loose or something. I then spotted my mother weaving through the room who had also heard the news about this guy so she was searching around the city for bathrooms in case I was there :P. She's always told me to never go to the bathroom alone, haha

Anyways, I can't remember what the conversation was, but eventually I got to saying "Wait, we're lucid, lets go catch this guy and turn him in, we won't get hurt because its a dream!" However, this is unimportant as this wasn't actually a lucid action, probably just the result of me thinking about lucid dreaming before sleeping.

After agreeing, we were in a car driving fast and about to go down this sloped road which turned into a T, so if we kept going straight we would hit the buildings. Suddenly, I realized I was lucid, not too sure of the trigger, but I did. Instantly, I wanted to test if I could control anything so I thought "Fly" and I sort of jumped out of the car through the roof and then it got weird. Everything turned into super slow-mo, so I was sort of levitating upwards slowly. My ears started ringing, I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck rising in my bed, and my heart was racing.

A creepy looking guy in one of those hats that cover your face was staring at me from the road as I was levitating, and all the hectic from the last paragraph was continuing. Those two combined really made me nervous and scared, I wanted to have a calm, cool lucid dream, so I tried to change the scene. I closed my eyes in attempt of doing this, but when I opened them I saw the dreadful clock in my room.

I was a member of the Manchester United squad (soccer team) and was practicing with them. Instead of being in the training center, we were running back and forth on a road next to the training center. Apparently the team needed to make changes to how things were run, because new rules were being implemented, and the manager (coach) was telling us funny stories about the past, in a reminiscent way. I woke up in the middle of this, short dream.

Dream 1
Started off with me talking about lucid dreaming with my cousin Les, who was preparing to give a speech at this banquet hall we were at, that or he already had given one. Then I remember receiving odd texts from someone I beleive we decided was the Devil (lol), but I can't remember what was said.

Then we were in a bus moving fast, but I can't remember the transition into the bus, may have been a separate dream. Noticed that we were in the top layer of a double decker bus in which the top layer was horizontally across the other bus, but crossed at the back making a T shape, but remember thinking this was odd because there was nothing holding the busses together. Was getting flashed scenes of a SUV of people travelling fast, presumably trying to catch up to our bus, and they were on the phone with someone who wanted them to go faster. I think I deduced that this was the devil, whom I was texting earlier.

Was talking with a friend about the weirdness of the bus, who told me it was just a new kind of bus, although I still found it odd as the lanes were still the same width. Eventually SUV caught up with us and I now realized that my cousin was still with us. The man in the SUV was moving out of the sun roof with a knife, planning to kill my cousin with it by jumping through the open window at him. My cousin pulled out a skinny looking pistol, if that makes any sense. Turned in a weird fashion and shot him, and I woke up.

Dream 2
I was at school, about to open my locker which was at a different location than it usually is. A very tan old guy came up to me and told me that my dad did a job for him (my dad works with cars) and asked me if I could get something from my dad for him. I agreed and he then asked me how I was doing. I realized I was opening the wrong locker and I moved over to another one and the code worked on that one. He kept talking, telling me a bunch of weird sounding business tidbits, like that the "middle market is falling out" and that we need to "get back to the local polish market", and I woke up while he was still talking.

I recorded this dream and the others in a few entries that follow this one on paper, but I'm not putting them online here.

First recorded dream in my notebook.

I was in my room playing video games with my one friend named John along with another person I can't remember. The room was cramped and I went to turn on the lights because of this :P, even more odd that the lights were already on until I arrived at the light switch. The lights would not turn on, so I went outside to the hallway to try the lights there because it might be that the power was off. In the hallway were a bunch of bed frames, without mattresses, or baby cribs, not too sure. In the corner of my eye, I could see a man who I remembered from an earlier dream walking into our house down on the first floor (I was on the balcony hallway). He was wearing all turquoise clothing for some reason, and from the earlier dream I think I deduced that he was harmless but, known for wandering people's houses. I started screaming at him to leave, but he would not respond nor leave, I woke up as I was screaming.
