Hi!
Yesterday I've answered here to a thread about an alarm app on the iPod, but maybe it can be useful to start a thread about another app for whom that are interested in this kind of Lucid Aids
About one month ago it was published on App Store an app called "Lucid Dreams". I liked it because it was the only that use a kind of alarm to help with Reality Checks
It also had some informations about lucid dreams, some techniques, and it explain what reality checks are, and give some of rc to use. It also has a binaural audio, but personally I'm not comfortable with binaural beats (in general) during the sleep.
Instead I found the Alarm very useful because first of all it can be used like a "conditioning" itself (every 30 minutes it rings and show a notification, every time I hear the ring I do a reality check, when during the sleep I hear the ring, my subconscious tells me to do the reality check in the dream).
But I use it also for another reason: I've read on a book about Tantrism that one techniques on lucid dreaming is to think and act during the daytime like we are dreaming (in a safe ways of course!), so to forge a kind of Will and Consciousness that it remain also in the dream-state (to make it simple ). So I use the alarm of the app also to "remember" me to think in that way, because the first period is hard to keep in mind continuously this idea.
Or to remember me to do the usual reality checks for the choosen key events, not for the ring itself, because sometimes when I'm absent-minded, I forgot to do some checks (example: every time someone call me, but after 3-4 hours I forget to do it).
I hope I was clear with the explanation Reading the description of the app directly on App Store or iTunes is better, probably I've forgot something because I'm focusing only on my personal use of it
Someone else has used it?
I was happy to found that because I bring the iPhone always with me, so wherever I am I can do the RC, and I'm not limited to do them only when I'm home, at computer
