Unhappy Didn't think this cound happen.

So i had a dream last night that my friend was lucid dreaming on a couch next to me. He even said "i'm lucid dreaming aren't i". EVEN SO, i failed to even realize i was in a dream... I've had lucids before, so i don't know how such a scene failed to "awaken" me. The weird thing is, in waking life, if anyone were to have a lucid dream, or even say the words "lucid dream" (which my friend did do in the dream), i would automatically do a reality check or something of the sorts. So what i realize is that in this dream and in many others, i am not entirely there... if you will.
Anyhow, i was wondering what are some tips to making you're dreams more susceptible to such a "hint" that you're dreaming. I believe if i knew how to have more vivid dreams, then something like this would easily trigger a realization.

It happens to everyone. Don't let it get you down. Anything lucid related is better than non-lucid. Just keep on RC'ing and questioning reality.

Thanks for the optimism, and you're right. Me dreaming of lucid events is a good sign of LD's to come!

If you want to do this for a long time, I would get used to this sort of thing. It happens to everyone and you will be amazed on the signs you'll miss even after becoming proficient. It'll just happen less often obviously.

And i plan to! I hope next time i'll realize, also i've noticed a lot of signs like this lately.
As if the dream is taunting me with dream related situations and hinting toward the truth. odd.

You're probably doing all you can by doing RCs when someone mentions LDing in real life. The possibility that you were dreaming happened to elude you this time, but that was probably a fluke. If it happens again, you'll probably catch it.
