Question for the exprienced Lucid Dreamers.

What iv realised is that the dreams you have are like a very intersting/stragetic game. Normally in my dream weather its normal or Lucid you always get tested and challenged and if you loose a challenge it normally results in death or rise in emotion so you wake up. However when you beat the challenges you get rewarded as your Lucid Dream continues.

Challenges for me come along where i just allof the sudden find my self in a situation where i have to escape from prison, or find my self playing for chelsea or some big team and i have the ball and have to score, usually when i miss because i get pissed off id wake up, or walking on rope over a volcanos mouth etc etc and when you beat the challenges it leads to good things and situations.

now my question is what method do people use to control their emotions and sharpen senses. Last night i had a LD after like a week, where i was teasing some guy to chase me and i was flying around. anyway after i lost him and i landed i became lucid, just when i bumped into him right then and there, and immidietly i said to my self "ffs, just now when i become lucid after a week, i face a situation where i can loose it" so anyway i made peace with the guy chasing me, so i then went to try and use my senses (smell, taste, vision, touch etc) i instantly woke up as a result of doing that. so there i was trying to stay calm, checking my senses trying to maintain lucidity and it cased me to wake up.

so what does everyone use in these situations to gurantee lucidity?

I honestly find it difficult to understand what you're trying to say. But I think you're trying to say that you become overrun with emotion and therefore wake yourself up. As for what method people used to control their emotions will sharpen senses I would say the best way to control emotions would be to simply command them to go away. As for sharpening senses you can also use commands such as 'heighten senses now!' Or focus on something, within the dream, and really pay attention to its touch, smell, weight, and also involve your other senses such as sight by focusing in on small details. By doing this the dream around you should certainly sharpen up the come into focus maintaining a realistic dream. Most lucid dreamers especially those who use the mild technique or DILD find that they will have to keep re-centring their focus to maintain the dream from fading or losing it realness. On the other hand people who are experienced with wild tend to have incredibly stable and vivid dreams that don't need much stabilisation.

yeh i was doing that checking my senses but i woke up while i was doing that, from what i remember i was trying to focus on somehting by looking at it when i woke up it didnt make sense, and i dont think i was too overrun with emotions maybe a little but not to the extent that id wake up instantly, which is what happened

Most of the time in my lucid dreams when I get to excited or destablizing I use a command like I'am lucid the world is vivid while saying that I rub my hands together & keep repeating until it seems good like 3 nights ago I gained lucidty in the middle of a dream then I got overwhelmed but then I felt this huge shock & I new I was about to wake up so I said to myself I'am lucid the world is vivid whilst rubbiing my hands together

Quite frankly, I avoid flying (this is tough as flying is the most exhilarating thing to do in a LD) as the act causes an adrenaline rush that tends to wake me up.
