      Lucid dreamers....like me?

hi, just want to know if there are any lucid dreamers like me. i have the idea all lucid dreamers are like into new age and stuff like that.
      (i'm probably wrong X_X)

anyway, metal is my favorite kind of music.
KITTIE, KORN, MORBID ANGEL, EXTOL, LIVING SACRAFICE, DIMMU BORGIR, and JACK OFF JILL are bands i like just to name a few.

[edit excuse me sir I am not goooooth. not labeling myself anymore. it was stupid.]

i lucid dream because i don't think people should waste ALL THAT TIME at night doing nothing and not usually remembering a thing X_X i've been a lucid dreamer for about a year now.

Hmmm... you remind me of the old me.

I mean in relation to you bands list. I used to be into the metal scene and I couldn't possibly imagine liking any other type of music. But over the last two years my taste in music has expanded and thus changed, but that's not to say that I can't appreciate good metal bands. I generally go for the talented bands and artists, of whatever genre they might represent, rather than limiting my music preference to a certain style or image of music.
Since we're on the subject here's my very brief draft:

      1. Radiohead (favourite band in this whole wide world
      2. Tool
      3. Underworld
      4. Pink Floyd
      5. Mauro Picotto
      6. Cradle of Filth
      7. A Perfect Circle
      8. Mogwai
      9. Nightwish
      10. Jeff Mills

Rammstein was one of the first metal bands I ever got into, and I still think they're pretty good. I have a lot of respect for Slayer, whom I seen at the Ozzfest 2002, and In Flames have one amazing album (The Jester Race), but the rest of their stuff is pretty disappointing.

Well, it looks like like the forum is either full of rockers, orelse the other members don't want to share their musical preferences.

      Paperdoll, I don't know what m/m/ means, but I'm sure it's a good thing..
If you like metal music and if you like lucid dreaming, then I'm sure you'll like Tool. That is, if the lyrical content of songs has any influence over your taste in bands. They seem to have a lot to say on the topic of OOBEs and such:

      Parabola--
"...We are choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside
This holy reality, this holy experience.
      Choosing to be here in

This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal
All this pain is an illusion..."

      Lateralus--
"...Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind..."

The single best metal band in the world, in my humble opinion.

In Flames have disappointed me, I like there early stuff but the new stuff is to mainstream for me...

atually, i have only heard like two songs from Tool, i don't really like them but i should probably listen to more because i really don't know.

i'm learning how to play that one song on the drums(dunno what it's called) "i know the peices fit, cause i watched them fall away.." it's fun

Shawndow, yes i've heard all of the bands you named. i hate them all.but respect the fact that you like them.

      Schism

I'm not really into the rap scene, but a few of my friends are, and I must say that the likes of Busta Rhymes, Warren G and 2Pac are to be lived up to. I do not, however, have any appreciation for R&B music. It's commercialised rap and, as typical of any commercial music, it's mostly shit.

Metallica were playing here a few weeks ago, supported by none other than the legends of manufactured nu-metal, Linkin Park. (My appologies for not writing the "N"s backwards, as I'm sure that's an insult to their artistic originality). Needless to say, people who were there to see the real band were glad to part with bottles, vegetables and footwear alike; and Linkin Park had to wrap up something like 40 minutes early.

Rap doesn't appeal to me at all, no offense to anyone who likes it but it seems to repetitive and dull for my likes, I preffer the low grumbling growls and heavy guitar riffs that only metal offers

I find myself listening to the grandma station nowadays cause I've become bored of everything. they play johnny mathis, and that sailing song by chris cross...sailing, takes me away to where I've always wanted to be.....remember that one....I bet your parents played it in the car when you were a kid ( if your around my age 25) or Lou Rawls....I love lou rawl's voice, and his songs are always so sexy...even the christmas ones.

Hmmm my taste in music is justabout like everything else with me, ecclectic,
I love rock and classic rock, techno some r&b ,rap reggae, then comes the classical instrumental, opera... yeah heeh, I have a mix disk that has some contemporary piano peices followed by brainbug (techno) then ACDC people are like what the F*&$% is with your mixes they go all over the place.

Basically if its good music I like it, there is much in the quagmire of crappy music out there, but once you wade through it and find the good stuff good music is good music and it soothes the savage beast... well actually something like monstermagnet or korn kinda encites it

      m/

P.S. I just cant deal with the country thing though, lol one of my roommates Girlfriend put on a country station and me and my other friend from NY started screaming NONONONONONO. This is a country free zone!! Getouttamyhouse!

Actually, Siest lae Vie is spelled C'est la vie meaning "this is life." There isn't an accent on any of it, that would change the pronounciation. Sorry to correct you, I just know a lot of French and couldn't help myself.
