Thing to do when drifting to sleep

You know when you are going to sleep and your thoughts start drifting
? Well I find interfering with this is a good way to become lucid. You want lucid dreaming to be the last thing on your mind, but you want it more in your subconscious then the conscious. So here are two things that help me become lucid and have multiple time (last night for example). So lay in bed and get relaxed, let your thoughts drift but let them drift into imagery, eventually thoughts will become pictures (last night I started thinking, automatically, of two of my friends walking in a hall) by the time this is happening you aren't aware of this so you need to learn to catch yourself, now once you catch yourself in this thought, treat it as if it were a lucid dream. Say "oh I am dreaming!" then Proceed with whatever you do and then let these thoughts drift as you fall asleep. This is what I did last night and had 2 LDs. Another thing is when you have automtic ideas drifting try to associate itwith lucid dreaming (unintentionally) it's a bit difficult but if you think of it as you fall asleep, when you get these defying thoughts you might start thinking about lucid dreaming, then it's in your subconscious with is what you want. Anyways thanks for reading and tell me how this goes
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

So it's pretty much making your mind VILD passively until it's clear enough and then seizing control?

Good idea, but I think your theory about the subconscious is incorrect - but the idea of how you got into an LD are good ideas.
      I'll try this sometime

I've tried this so many times before, but so far, it's worked once for me.
I imagined a field before me, then I told myself there would be a dog, the next thing I knew, I was in a dream, in that field.. One of the most vivid lucid dreams I've ever had, my control was perfect too. The dog turned into a large wolverine after me though ...... then I commanded that it disappears, and it did...
      goodluck to everybody !

      Things I've done while Lucid:

      - Flying - Dream Rewind and Fast Forward
      - Invisibility - Shapeshifting - Grown Wings
      - Summoning [mastered (?)] - Zip lining
      - Fireball
