My first attempt at attaining lucidity... Failure...

This is my method, I don't really know if it is correct.

I sleep on my back, and close my eyes, while staying awake. Soon after 10-15 minutes I was supposed to be in a "sleep paralysis" phase, but I never felt anything. I still moved, when I was seeing if I was in a sleep state. I tried 4 times, but most of the time I either had to swallow, or wander off in my mind about other stuff rather then relaxing.

Guys, any tips? What methods should I use? And can anyone explain them to me in detail? I really want a lucid, thank you so much.

The best suggestion I can give is: do not start with WILD, really.
WILD can be extremely easy for some... yet deeply frustrating for the 90% of others who can't achieve anything within the first weeks.
Failing several times at WILD can single-handedly destroy your confidence, you really don't want to associate lucid dreaming with this technique.
Alarm-scheduled DEILDs, random DILDs (when you recognize your dream signs) and maybe some MILD when you get the chance are easier, solid starting points.
At least they are guaranteed to give you some lucid dreams, then you will take WILD attempts with a much more positive "well, let's go pro!" attitude

So this was the WILD technique? I got this off of a member from another forum that gave a guide on how to get a lucid. Since yesterday, I've been really researching lucid dreaming and then I went off to try that method. But it failed

I will try DILD but I heard it is so random. What can I do to improve my chanced with DILD? I had about 1 or 2 DILDS in the past month which I still remember clearly which lasted about a few seconds or minutes each. However I NEVER knew that they were called "lucid dreams", I just thought that I was experiencing something in my dream.

      I will see MILD.

      Thanks guys

With WILD, it's really best to start with a WBTB first. You'll be hard pressed to achieve SP going to sleep the first time. Also, Whiskee is right. You really shouldn't start with WILD. If you really do want to start with it, I suggest not focusing too hard on the whole process. The more you think about not thinking, the harder it gets.
