Are you doing reality checks correctly? |
|
I am doing them correctly, and how many I do depends on how often I see my hands. I write an L on my left hand and a D on my right for lucid dreaming. When ever I see one of those letters I do a RC. I have been doing them for three days but I have had seven dreams since then. I take naps. |
|
I have never accidentally done a reality check in a dream for any purpose other than to see if I'm dreaming. |
|
I dunno, out of the 6 lucid dreams I've had, i've only done them to confirm I was dreaming, the majority of the time of the cause of getting lucid is awareness seeing something that's wrong/different that's made me realize that I was dreaming. |

Reality checks aren't for achieving lucidity, they are for reassuring that you are dreaming. You have to have some slight awareness to even do a reality check in a dream, its more of a confirmation. |

flowers shall grow
and I am in them
and that is eternity.

so, to confirm, yes, they do work |
|
Yes they work but only if the brain is in the right chemical state during the dream. Reason being...Why we lose consciousness in sleep So when it's near morning when you had more than 5 hours of sleep it's more likely the functioning parts of the brain ie.consciousness will kick in sooner than you wake up from the dream and you do an RC if you see something odd or see your dreamsign. |
