My strange 'VILD' technique.
And when I say 'VILD', I mean 'Vibration Induced Lucid Dreaming'
DILD doesn't always work for me, so I looked into those NovaDreamer things (which, btw, are really expensive) which basically is a face mask with lights in that detect the correct eye movents and flash red LEDs, causing a red light in your dream and a reason to RC.
Yes, I'm sure it works well, but why pay? For a start it's better to be able to LD without aid, but I found a good alternative to buying NovaDreamer, or close equivilents.
I worked out my REM cycle (Roughly) using average REM cycles and alarms set off in the night and depending on whether it interrupted a dream or not... anyway, I worked it out and set three alarms on my phone at different times of the night. I turned the sound off, so the phone just vibrated for a minute and then stopped (see, that's where the VILD comes from ).
I strap it to either my chest or forehead (I'm not yet sure which is more effective) and in my dreams, the vibration was strong enough for me to feel, yet not too strong as to wake me up. In my dream, I would experience a strange buzz or tingle in my forehead or chest and this would trigger me to RC. Then I just wait for the buzzing to stop, and I'm fully Lucid.
I hope that helps somebody
