      Sleep Paralysis

How do I attain SP and Keep my mind awake while my body sleeps?
That how I usually become lucid when I'm in my bedroom.

Trick your body into thinking you're asleep. This will take 30-45 minutes and you have to be very determined in able to accomplish this. I have only been able to do it once, however it is very possible.

Lay still, completely. Don't move your arms or legs. Not even your eyes.
Don't itch anything. This is your body testing you to see if you're actually awake or not.

I would listen to bineural beats (as I've said many times before) to relax your mind to prepare.

I suggest reading a chapter in Dr. Stephen LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming called "Falling Asleep Consciously. I believe it's chapter four. The man is the most reliable source of information on Lucid Dreaming I know of. His techniques have been thoroughly studied, and they mostly focus on visualization and concentration of things such as numbers and hypnagogic imagery. I just bought the book this last week and have already seen success over the past few nights. Highly recommended.
The statement below is the truth.
The statement above is a lie.

listening to binural beats can help, its the only way i acheived SP, also some people say meditating before bed can help too, as it changes you brain waves, (i believe to theta, cause thats what it felt like when i meditated). edit, you seem an imposter of Jeff777 .

Look up any of the WILD guides. We have a few good ones in the Wiki
WILD Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

People also like to write up their own guides from time to time. Everyone seems to have a slightly different method, so try a few to see what works for you. The basic idea is to make sure your timing is right (middle of the night, close to a dream cycle), then get yourself so relaxed that you can hover on the very edge of sleep without losing consciousness.
