      Problems with becoming lucid

I frequently do reality checks during the day and at night I use MILD to try to induce a lucid dream, but almost everytime I wake up having no recollection of any dreams whatsoever, let alone realising that I have become lucid. Can anyone give me some suggestions? What should I do to improve my recall and awareness?

(Oh btw I do keep a dream journal, but its mostly blank at the moment.. for obvious reasons).

Well that is exactly it, you need to improve your recall, just keep at that dream journal and write down what happened right when you wake up.

^I think he means that he can't remember a thing (I hope not)

Our mind seems to have a built in "dream eraser" so it is imperative to start your day off by remembering your dreams. As soon as you are awake, try not to move and just play back the dream(s) you've just had, if you can.

Your recall ability will steadily improve over time. Just remember to keep motivated and you'll be fine.

I agree. Try to remember your dreams for at least five minutes. You'd be surprised what might pop into mind. If all else fails, set an alarm to wake you up in the night. You'll definitely remember something then. Record what you can and go back to sleep. This should give your memory a little push.

      What increases my dream recall
Telling everyone every little detail about my dreams when I have them
Paying more attention to my surroundings in real life (Shadows, sounds, touch/feelings on your own body) Keeps you more aware (Look up ADA if you want the full version, I don't practice it)
Typing up my dreams in every detail possible, if you aren't sure about something just make it up it improves your creativity also
Re-Read any dream you've had each day and past dream journals, and notice your dream patterns or what you dream of most often

Everyone says that all people have dreams each night, but remember you could be dreaming about nothing (I have it happen quite often). And therefore you will not remember because there's nothing to remember. Try to create a dream before you go to bed it might spark more dreams to occur. Just a couple nights ago I entered a dream and instantly I knew it was a dream, I did a reality check to confirm and I was right. I didn't plan to lucid that night so I wasn't prepared I sat on a couch in my dream and waited for it to end, the only thing that happened was that people walked by me. I wasn't motivated enough to even try anything, it ends up that this lucid was the longest I've ever had about 30 mins total (It was a WBTB unplanned) and I did nothing. I literally said to myself in the dream "Damn I wonder when I'll wake up this is boring."

What if I can recall many dreams accurately but just can't get lucid? I bring this up because there was a period in my life when I can remember every dream I had for weeks, but none of them were lucid.
