What do I do in a nap?

I just tried to nap right now. I started at half 2, it lasted for an hour and 10 mins. I just laid on my bed with my clothes on, shoes off, natural light in my room and some noise downstairs, nothing too bad. I laid on my side for the whole thing.

But nothing happened! After a while of not moving and repeating a mantra in my head, my arm I was lying on started to hurt, but I still didn't move.

But after 15mins of that, I just gave up.

How are you supposed to nap?

I have the same problem, once I'm awake I can't sleep again until the normal time. I think no noise at all would help though.

Be more aware during the day and do RC's. Becoming lucid = being AWARE you are dreaming.

Everyone says naps are good for WILDs, but in my opinion it's just like WBTB you have to catch it at the right time.
If it's not working in 15mins then I stop, well done for battling it out for over an hour.
      Try WBTB instead.

Yeah, okay I suppose. I was really annoyed, not that I had effectively wasted an hour, but that it just didn't work. I read that after you reach the "oh dear your side is hurting, roll over" stage, your body is convinced you are asleep and it goes to sleep. But mine just wouldn't do it. My arm still hurts a little.

have you tried binaural beats? they usually help me enter SP really quickly, normally within 5-10 minutes, but having said that I have never successfully gone into a WILD.

I tried binaural beats before, but they never worked and I found I had less dreams on the nights I used them.

Well no, but I assume it's just quiet, dark, warm room with empty bladder and mind. I admit I had few of those things but I still thought I would at least feel something.

maybe WILD isn't for you, I've always been told that if you've only ever had a few lucid dreams then a WILD is very hard to do for a beginner

wilding is hard actually the urge to move if terrbily hard to hold. and makes you do some micro-movements

and Binaural beats are bullshit and ùakes no sense, and can't help, just annoying stupid sounds
      no sig

I can picture myself having done some micro movements, I did twitch really bad twice and a few other times my hand clenched on its own and my arm kept clenching. I think I won't do anymore naps if they are this difficult compared to regular WBTB.

if you mastered wilding without WBTB, so you can have LDs whenever wherever you want to ?

      isn't that crazy?

That is NEVER true. You can only have a lucid dream when you have time to spare, a restful place, no one around to wake you up/steal from you/ take pictures and you need to be tired enough to sleep.

When, other than at night in bed can you have all these things?

You really you can only WILD at the same time as every other technique.

Ok, maybe with more success, but as you said it is difficult to master.

I can't sleep at day, if I'm not tired. But when I am tired, I can't stop sleeping.
If I'm sitting down in too long time, I often fall asleep. But when I'm trying, I can't.

Maybe you should just take a nap when you're tired?

By the way, I think binaural beats are amazing, but I guess it's different frmo person to person.

Special thanks to Darkmatters for my signature picture.

I have had only one succesfull wild (and it was my shortest LD). I also used Binaural beats (Lucid Dream, I-doser). I don't if they work at all, but for me it really works with getting into SP. because it is very easy for me to focus on those sounds and ignore my body until its starts feeling weird and I enter SP. Also I can always nap listening to the buzz of the binaural beats, it just really relaxes me somehow. (even the ones that are supposed to make me hyperactive, thats why I don't really believe in them). I just decided to try WILDing more often, so I downloaded those beats again.
Before you start to drift and your soul begins to scream
I just wanted to tell you that you're listening to a dream
