What was this and what did I do wrong?

I woke up in the middle of the night, at my usual WBTB time. I had a hard time falling asleep before, so I only had about 4 hours sleep. I just lay in bed for an hour, then when I tried to fall asleep, I lied down very still, focused my breathing and cleared my mind. I fell into a dream and it was lucid. I then lost it after 15 seconds because it just wouldn't stabilize, I could feel vibrations and it felt rather fragile.

When I woke up in my bed, I tried again and managed another, this one was shorter and felt like I had less control- I did things on the fly, not for any reason, but I always had the thought of "have to stabilize!".

My question is- what were these? I mean what method did I accidentally do?
Also, what could I have done to stabilize? In both dreams I touched as much stuff as I could, I was moving around, feeling everything and trying to look around to see as much as I could, but it just faded.
      What can I do?

If you consciously went into the dream after being awake, then that was a WILD.
If you consciously went into the dream after exiting a dream, then it was a DEILD, for this you don't move after exiting the dream... basically a quicker WILD.
Just sounded like sort unstable lucids, just try to remain calm your doing fine, it will get better with practice.
      Well done!

Thanks, I figured it was either of the two. I think both were WILD, or I got very lucky with the 2nd one as I did move my head slightly to look at the time.

I suppose when I think back these two dreams were a bit more stable and longer than a few I had before. I didn't count those ones earlier as they had very little control or clarity.
