The Dream Project Continues - Miraclemethods and Scams.

You might have heard about Lucidology or Binaural beats or magical totems etc. that promise you that you will have a lucid dream the night you use it.

In my school project I am trying to find the best way to attain lucidity.

And lazy me is trying to find a miraclemethod (their probably is none)
But just for fun I am going to try all the scams and all the funky techniques.

I used the Lucidology timer method, which everybody hated, but it actually worked very good. And I don't really believe in the binaural beats concept, but now I am going to give it all a chance.

So first of all I would like you to recommend me some methods, that seems to be to good to be true and maybe tell me about your experience with some of these methods. Like for example binaural beats or the REM-Dreamer.
Although I will not try drugs in these attempts.

This seems like a good place to start xD: http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.c...id-dreams.html
      Thank you

The reason the timer worked for you and not most people (in all likelihood) is that you were lucky with the settings the first time you used it. Most people have to spend days/weeks dialing in the intensity and timing to whats right for them. As far as "the best way to attain lucidity" goes statistics are on the side of DILD and DEILD (even though your focusing on fringe methods this tried and true approach might be a place to start). If you're doing a project on it you might want to look into the science dreaming, like lucid aids (choline, B6, melatonin, etc.) and the physio/psych aspect of sleep.

The timer method didn't only worked just once, it worked 5 times in a row in a week at the most and was really reliabe for me actually, but I take a break from it now, because I want to test out other methods. But the timer method itself is not a technique it's just a way to make it easier to DEILD just like WBTB can make it easier to WILD/DILD etc.
I might look into lucid aids like that as well, but I don't want to spend to much money.
      Thanks.

And... I did spend a long time before i found the perfect setting to the timer, but then it was just incredible.

Can you tell us more about your success with the timer? Did it keep you awake long enough to initiate a "traditional" WILD with the vibrations and such, or did it wake you up in the middle of the dream for DEILD?

Oh Hey Ev! A pleassure to meet you, dreamscentist x) The timer woke me up after 6 hours of sleep (with an autosnooze function so I didn't had to move), but I only used this awakening as a quick WBTB without getting out of bed so to speak, just a way to become a little more aware and prepared for the next alarm which was going to wake me up 2 minutes later.
When this alarm woke me up I just lay still and if nothing happend I just fell asleep again and did a new attempt on the next 2 minute alarm.
When something did happend I just daydreamed randomly about something and at first it was just a thought, a visualisation that I observed, but suddenly I felt a switch and I was not an observer anymore I was there! So the thoughts became vivid and I experienced that I no longer controled what I thought about, so I could think weird stuff as: Oh a witch likes kittens...
When I was lucid I was very aware, but I am not experienced enough to make that lucid moment become a full adventure so I haven't experienced all those cool stuff like som of the members here yet... But I am getting there!

I hope this was helpful information =D And I look foward to test your App, I have already tested the Bio2Real Clock and I loved it.

Thank you If I understand you correctly, the dream did envelop you at some point? So you were able to "enter" the scene?

I think the "miracle" method will be found at some point in the future but I think it will involve some kind of technology that alters brain chemistry.
