      Question Is this Sleep Paralysis????

Ok, so we all know knowledge is power... I've never in my life known SP until I came on this forum and learned... However, I was also extremely paranoid of SP due to the accounts of the auditory and visual hallucinations of SP, as well as "feeling" of pain from said dark figures, etc... so, I once got too afraid to attempt the WILD when I began feeling extremely heavy.

The past week or so, I've paid extra close attention to SP to see if I felt it while attempting to not be afraid, and what I've gotten isn't the same experiences as others. (Keep in mind, I also have never experienced SP so maybe I'm just not prone to being so aware during this state)
HOWEVER, what I have felt *immediately* upon waking from the dream in the wee hours, is the prickles all over my upper body, especially arms. Sometimes, the arm that I sleep on will completely fall asleep but this prickle feeling is different and I'm attributing it to SP because it isn't just one arm, it's my upper body but especially in both arms, and happens only immediately upon waking from a dream, hence middle of REM I guess. If I try to toss back into sleep, prickly feeling begins again (but no vibrations or auditory hallucinations), just the prickles on my arms (can't say I've EVER felt them on my legs, weird??) and incredibly heavy and knowing I'm about to enter back in.

Lately, because I'm a paranoid freak and this is a totally new feeling for me, I've woken my happy self out of bed because I'm so not used to this feeling/awareness and while I used to be absolutely terrified, (a hint of that remains) but now it's mostly that it's rather slightly uncomfortable

Please, can anyone who knows more just reply with a quick yes or no on their belief if this is SP? I won't bump this thread again but any input would be so very appreciated. I really do feel like it is, but since I've never felt it before, and it's only in my "upper body" of the prickly feeling, I wasn't sure what to make out of it. I assumed it was coming out of SP

Our motor activity.. legs arms and such, switches off as we fall asleep. So, yes , you are experiencing SP. Try visualizing while in this deep state of relaxation. It works wonders.

You're not the only one, it freaks me out too. I just keep trying and go in a little further each time, before getting too freaked and violently moving my body to wake myself up and go to sleep normally. I think it just takes some getting used to.
