Hello,

First of all, I apologize for sounding like a complete noob with this thread, but I need help. Basically, I have only had one Lucid Dream so far, and it was about almost two months ago - 1-2 months into the study of it. In this period of time I have researched lucid dreaming, dreams, and psychology just in general and have grown rather fond of it, but I still cannot seem to have another Lucid Dream!

Basic overview of my past...
- I remember 1-4 regular dreams on average per night, so memory is definitely not an issue.

- There has been times in my dreams when "lucidity" comes up (ie: checking out a book about Lucid Dreaming; talking about Lucid Dreams & False Awakenings with friends; giving out Lucid pills to friends etc) in regular dreams but I have not caught myself.

- The first Lucid Dream was via MILD (I think). I wrote "AWAKE" on my hand and used it for my reality checks and finally in my dream I did it and hardly read "awake" because it was so blurred and skewed. BUT, the thing is, I did not do a reality check first. I saw an outrageously bright white light when I was hanging out with my friends, I asked them, "Am I dreaming!?", they replied yes, and THEN I checked my hand.

- I have even got extremely close to successfully completing WILD, however my mom woke up me to ask if I wanted to go shopping . Haha

- I go to sleep around 11:00 - 11:30 and wake up at 6:00AM every morning for school. I have been setting my alarm for 3:30AM and then again at 5:30AM to try WBTB initiated LDs but to no avail.

WHAT am I doing wrong? Am I over-analyzing the whole situation? I am not sure that is the case because last time I was lucid I was thinking about it even more than I am now.

I appreciate all the helpful answers. Thanks guys.

Btw, strong 3rd post. Haha
