hard to realize when i am asleep

hey all. i don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when i am in a dream everything just seems like thats how it should be, like last night i had a dream about how i was flying a ship from halo, but it was in 3rd person, but nothing seemed out of place for me...any suggestions for realizing sleepy ness?

Sounds like a problem for most beginers, even me :-). Since my dreams are vivd, and i have great recall, i'm going to try and do more reality checks... I think thats my main problem so maybe you should try to perform more reality checks in your waking life. No harm in trying that :-D

I'm in the same boat as you. I can be doing the most ridiculous and bizarre things in my dreams, and I still don't see anything wrong with it. I barely ever question anything. I haven't had a LD in well over a year now I think. Plus I seem to be in a terrible dream recall dry spell. I am recalling some dreams every now and than, but nothing like what I used to. It'd help I think if I was to go to bed earlier, but who wants to do that? lol

What you want to do is set yourself up for a dream memroization. Try creating some dream journals to help your conscious focuse more on the dream aspect while you're sleeping This method usually helps waken the conscious sleeping state so that way
Its not as Dormant. You're never going to know if anything is irregular as long as your subb-conscious in taking the for-front. So you are going to except it all during sleep and not think twice about anything abnormal. We need to awaken our conscious minds during the dream relm to enter Lucid Dreaming. Try the Dream journals write down what you remember it seems you are already half way there. Alot people are having a hard time just tryin got remember the dream. So take advantage of what you have already achieve and thats Dream Recall great work.. Good luck

I have the same problems... I might have the weirdest dream ever, something I wouldn't even think of in waking life, but it just seems so natural in my dream that i don't bother to think about it.
For example, few weeks ago I had a dream when I was walking in a small stream of rusty water and picking up broken CD's with my feet... like...what the dickens.
One thing that now helps me to realize that the dream's weird, and at all, is a dream, is to read through my dream diary's entries for some past days (or even a week) and to think about what the dreams would have been if I had known I was dreaming.

      I never realise I'm dreaming.
I only know that I was dreaming (or that anything ever happened) during the night, when I wake up in the morning and remember it..

It's like thinking back on a movie I watched.. I remember it, but I don't remember actually being there doing it.

Also try setting up your journal just before you go to sleep. Write down the date and time, and even the subject you want to dream about. Also writting down affirmations of your goal will help train your sub-concious to produce what you want to happen rather than random images/scenerios, examples; "tonight i want to remember my dreams upon waking from them" or "i want to realize i am dreaming while dreaming". You are definately on the right path, maybe just get more involved in your journal, it seems to be the most important part of dream recall, and ultimately attaining lucidity.

      Good Luck
