      Lucid dreams after hard exercise

Hello everybody. I'm new to this forum.

I've only had a few lucid dreams (that I can remember), probably less than ten. I want to have more, but I haven't developed the discipline yet to consistently perform reality checks, or remind myself to remember my dreams. But every time I have a lucid dream, it has a big impact on me.

I've noticed that these lucid dreams almost always follow a period of intense exercise. My most recent was on Sunday night. I had spent the weekend biking on Saturday, and climbing a mountain on Sunday. It was the most physically difficult weekend I've had in a long while. My dreams were extremely vivid, and I became lucid for what seemed like 10 or 15 minutes of "dream time."

Thinking back on my previous lucid experiences, they too always seemed to follow a period of intense physical activity. After searching the forum, it seems that user Hate is running an experiment called The Physical Activity Experiment along just these lines, but it's only been going on for a month so it likely doesn't have a lot of good data yet.

So how many others have experienced this effect? If it's fairly common, that's very encouraging to me because I know how to reproduce it -- just go do some hard exercise!

      Thanks folks.

Yeah....I have noticed some effects from certain physical activities as well, & maybe I should try the bike thing, too!

<span style="color:green">He is indeed trying to collect data. He could use some more willing participants..

I believe that when the body is active, every aspect of your pysical and mental state work better and more efficiantly.
Though someone first starting out may experiance exhaustion and sleep very deep and not have good recall. But when the body aclimates to a pysical regiment, it just flat out helps in all areas.
      Use it or loose it!

I ride my bike every day, and pretty much all weekend.. Maybe its cause its not a real workout, but more of a transportation thing around my suburb with my friends.

I'll test the theory after a workout next time.

I think Social activity as well as exersise helps.. I noticed I was able to recall for the first time in awile last night over only a few hours of sleep. I went to 3 different parties (did not drink), and the recall was pretty good... oh, I also had a coffee at the end, caffineted, if that had anything to do with it,

I was trying to punch people in the dream, but my hits did nothing. It was weird.
      Just keep moving…
