      My new WBTB experiment

Hello, I have been slacking on my lucid dreaming. Needless to say I always come back full fledged and ready to go. I notice that my WBTB WILDS are really slacking normally fail. My method now is to set 2 alarms in the middle of the night, get up go pee, attempt to wild. These 100% of the time end up having me just fall back asleep. I want to try something new. I am sure this has already been posted and this is not new, but I want to share my experiment with you all anyway. I will post my technique and my lucid or near lucid dreams I get.

      The technqiue:
      • Wake up after ~6 hours of sleep
      • Get up, make breakfast
      • Play with the dog, get an early start on work
      • After about 1 or 2 hours get back into bed and read until super tired
      • Relax in bed until you feel your body wanting to fall asleep
      • Do whatever WILD technique you want

      Details:
After my five or so years of lucid dreaming these little details are what have helped me in the past
      • Don't try to not move your body. If you want to move then move. Your body will get into SP much faster when you are comfortable then when you are not
      • Don't worry about falling asleep. This can cause stress and keep you up. Just relax and go with it. If you fall asleep great, if not that's ok too.
      • I don't try any one technique. All these seem to make me focus too much. I just try to stay present enough to be conscious of the transition

I will be doing this every day and am super excited to start lucid dreaming constantly again I hope you can all get something from this. If you have any questions please ask or even join in

I woke around 7:40 and went back to bed around 9:30. I was laying down and relaxing. I kept having to change position but noticed SP almost a minute after every move. I lapsed into a mini projection and noticed heavy pressure on my back. It felt super good like a massage. I told whoever was doing it to not stop. My phone rang. I had to start over.

10 minutes of not really laying still but back in SP. I can see these images shooting at my that sort of remind me of DMT. My hard starts to vibrate super hard. I start seeing walls form around me as I touch them it gets stronger. It never gets strong enough.

Similar things happen for an hour or so. I fall into VERY vivid false awakenings but don't get lucid in them.

Great start for the first try

I'll join in I guess, I'm already sort of doing this anyway. I normally have to get up in the mornings at 8:30, but on saturday, sunday and tuesday I can get up as late at 10:30. Is this too irregular to try setting alarms and what not to wake myself up for a few hours earlier? Or should I just do this on those days when I can wake up normally, but then go back to bed a few hours later?

If so, how about this- I wake up at 8:30, get up, then an hour and a half later go back to bed, at say 10am?

I lay in bed to prepare for my wbtb wild. It doesn't take long. For me to get tired and I pass out too soon. I am with rain my yoga teacher and Kara. She is teaching some yoga and Kara and I are following. We do something's for a while and I end up near Safeway. I think about this and wonder how I get there so fast. Did I run? It hit me. I'm dreaming. I do a rc and look at my hands. I'm dreaming alright. I pull up my sleeves and take the sight in. Yep it's beautiful like usual. Everything is Glowing as the sun bursts through the open air. * Unfortunately I wake up.*

The problem I am running into is that I fall asleep without remaining conscious. This is actually a good step for me because normally I just cant fall back asleep after staying up for so long.

Goal for next time: Motion swinging. While I am laying there I will try to move my astral hands around until I either enter the dream or pass out.

Your yoga teacher's name is Rain?

Anyhow, I get to sleep in tomorrow as no school, so I'll give this a go (by not sleeping in) tomorrow and I'll report back then.

First try, and I just pass out too quickly. Going to tweak the time and have another shot in the morning.

Yeah, I woke up earlier than usual alright but I couldn't get out of bed. I stayed awake as much as I could but I dozed off a few times into dreams. I was too tired to note anything down but I do remember having more dreams than usual last night. Going to try again tomorrow morning.

I woke up late at 9:50. I already expected that I slept too long but I tried anyway. I experienced A LOT of hypnagogic imagery as I laid there comfortably. I turned about three times before a dream started forming. I was aware of my surroundings but was passive. It was like watching a movie. This movie never got fully vivid and it faded. Eventually I must have passed out because I woke an hour later with two VERY vivid dreams on my belt.

So far I really love doing this. Sleeping less gives me more energy throughout the day and my dreams are drastically improving in quality and quantity.

I had a lucid dream this morning! I set my alarm for 7:30 and I just went back to sleep though, had a lucid and after that ended I woke up at 9:11. Not sure if it was because of this or something else I am doing.

Nice! it could be. Just keep doing it and see if it helps.

I have a small cold which makes this really hard to do atm. I am getting better already and will continue tomorrow morning.

Been having some bad nights lately- going to bed late and not being able to sleep. Dreams have gone down a bit. I'll pick it up tonight though, I get a lie in tomorrow.
