For me gravity checks almost never fail. See how high you can jump in a dream next time. P.S. It helps to do a couple of these types of RC's in the waking world also. |

This morning I had a lucid dream. It was about 5am. The lucid dream itself isn't important but how I got there could be. I became lucid by been aware of my surroundings. It just didn't feel right. After afew seconds I became lucid. I then thought it would be a good idea to do a rc just to be sure. I did 3 rc's and they all failed? This made me think that maybe it wasn't a dream and from then on it slipped back into a normal dream. Has anyone else had rc's fail like this when they were lucid? |

Well it's possibly because you didn't actually believe it was a dream, so you expected them to fail, I found that the finger through palm reality check always works for me, but that might be different for you. |

Like they said you have to play around with a few to find one that really works for you. Don't do the same 3 you used before try entirely different ones or rely on your surroundings as a RC. Such as looking at writing, then looking away and looking back at it. Normally it will change around or no longer make sense. Look at what you are wearing, try to remember how you got where you were. |

I agree with Arch. Also, a reality check that is hard to fail is the memory check. How did I get here? Where am I? etc |
