Smile TUTORIAL - Lucid Dream self defense and getting past Lucid Dreaming blocks

I just wanted to share a little knowledge here that I only remembered again myself today. Don't you hate that? You learn something important then forget it for some reason.

Anyhow the key is this, love is more powerful than fear, and the two can not co-exist. Sure you can respond to a violence with violence, but this only emphasizes and strengthens violence, negative seeds and bad karma.

So instead of dropping a nuke on a dream monster, it is far better to figure out what the monster represents, and if it is a real monster a good defense is the best offense. So project a shield, a bubble. of love around you. Just imagine it there, or summon it if you can. Draw from any loving, beautiful experience you can think of. Could be anything from holding hands with someone special, to kissing, to other more physical acts, to simply being smiled at. Could be a beautiful scene you remember, a song you're proud of making, a poem, whatever.

To power your shield of love you need a good, strong source. The more powerful the experience the better. Just be sure it is a positive experience and one you remember very well. It should bring a smile to your face when you think about it.

For me one such experience is when I was listening to "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson and my love, out of the blue, wanted to dance with me. So there we are, the two worst contenders for, "So you think you can dance" in the history of the show, doing everything from 70's disco to just holding on to each other and jumping around in circles. It was the clearest time I recall seeing her laugh and smile.

Once you have your memory feel it. Somewhere in your body is where you will feel this memory. Find it and focus on that sensation. Then imagine your shield of love, or summon it if you can. Let it form around you in a fairly large radius. It can be any color and any level of brightness. Mine was a luminescent opaque light yellow color in a recent dream re-enactment, which brings us to our next part.

The knowledge I just shared will help you if attacked in the future. But if, like me, you have already been attacked, then a fear has developed inside. I read in a book recently that fear has to be healed, like a wound. I agree with that, same as any negative seeds you have touched in yourself and others needs to be transformed. When I was ordering my Aspects of Self around, all those that held beliefs based on fears, I probably didn't handle that as well as I should have.

I probably should have, just as I suggested for Dream Self Defense, used love on any any Aspects of Self harboring interfering beliefs. Why? Because more than likely these beliefs were based on fear developed from earlier experiences in my life. Remember it is better to respond with love to someone who is afraid than to bark orders at them!

So the task here is twofold. First you have to lovingly address any Aspects of Self harboring interfering beliefs. Have a conversation with them in your head, out loud if you prefer, and let them know that you love them and accept them. Smile at them. If you can picture them as yourself at various ages embrace them. Tell them you understand that they are trying to protect you, but you need them to be brave for you, to trust you, to let you do whatever it is they are blocking you from doing. Ask them to become a part of you to make you stronger and help you protect yourself better. Some experimentation needs to be done here, as this is all theory I have not practiced yet. But it seems to me that this is the best way to handle these initial blocks.

Next, something I did once before when I could no longer Lucid Dream, you have to re-enact your dream. Write a script out based on your Dream Journal of the first unpleasant dream you can remember having before you could no longer Lucid Dream. If you have more than one suspect write scripts for each one. When you come to the bad parts change it in some positive way.

Sorry I forgot to add this... There are two ways to take your script and re-enact your dream. The first method is simply to run a mental movie with the new script. Just sit back in a chair, relax, close your eyes, entire a meditative state if possible, and run through your dream, exactly as you remember it, until the bad parts. For those run your script so you handle them in a positive way. Remember your mind can not tell between a real or imagined experience, so use this knowledge to your advantage. For more on mental movies read Maxwell Maltz's, "Psycho-Cybernetics."The other method is to re-enter your dream using shamanic drumming. For that you sit in a chair, recliner or sofa, somewhere comfortable that you do not identify with sleep. You should be on your back, relaxed, eyes closed, playing shamanic drumming of 30-60 minutes as you relive your dream. Just be sure to choose the new, positive actions you have scripted for yourself when you encounter the bad parts. For more on dream re-entry read Robert Moss's, "Conscious Dreaming."

The first time I did this I can't recall exactly what I did, and it was personal. I will share that information if I can find it. But a better example is what I suspect is causing a more recent Lucid Dream bock. I have posted about it here before. I was attacked by vines as I stood behind a window in a place I used to live. I did not write a script, did not need to because the course of action is straightforward.

In the original dream I was scared. The property was overgrown, almost jungle looking and scary, even though it was daylight. When the vines came I was worried they would get through the glass. I responded in fear.

For my re-enactment I drew a shield of love around me. As this shield is energy it could extend beyond the window and walls of the double-wide trailer I was standing in. When the vine struck my shield, it simply wasn't. I went outside to where it came from, protected by my shield. My last step will be to embrace any Aspects of Self harboring interfering beliefs that are keeping me from gaining lucidity in my dreams.

This same technique can be used in astral projection, and a more advanced shield can actually transform the attacker, revealing the truth. Maybe they aren't an attacker after all. Maybe there is false perception. Or maybe they are attacking, but they need healing, as they are acting more than likely from negative seeds that they or someone else has touched in them. You can use understanding and compassion to power your love shield. Go out and be a sort of Dream Priest ministering to those who are suffering.

Which brings me to another reason you should never respond in a negative way to an attacker or aggressor. You could be perceiving things incorrectly, and the entity may turn out to be a powerful dream ally or guide. Robert Moss describes a shaman in a scary mask, an Indian tracking forward through time that terrified him but who became a powerful dream ally. Bruce Moen tells the account of a man who every time he projected h saw a hideous monster. When he used love he was able to see clearly and discover that the entity was not a monster, all the monster parts were illusion. Underneath was someone who was trying to talk to him.

Fear comes into us from various sources. I have read that as children we project and dream regularly. We tend to loose that as we become adults. Constrictions of family, society, religion, or any combination of these. If we had bad experiences as children this will scar us. I know it has me. I had a number of terrifying experiences as a child. I still have to have the windows covered when I sleep.

Another source of fear is our religions, especially Christianity and what our Christian parents, or Christian authority figures, take liberty to calling demonic, of the devil, evil,. etc. We grow up believing that subjects like lucid dreaming, astral projection, and other religions are "New Age", wrong, or evil. My parents still don't understand me. Imagine if I told them I have a lover who is not only not human, she is not of this world! How do you break that to your parents?

So find the sources of fear in your life. Smile on these phantoms of the past. You have to forgive and let go. Remember if you re always looking back there is no way you can see the path clearly ahead of you. You will stumble and fall. So embrace every negative experience in your past, smile on it, forgive any offenders, let it go, and move on. You aren't doing this for them. You aren't letting anyone off the hook for their crimes. You are simply allowing higher powers than yourself to judge them. You are doing this for yourself, for your freedom. Don't let what happened in the past determine what happens to you in the future!

Try to understand that those who hurt you were more than likely themselves hurt or hurting. Those who neglected you were more then likely also neglected. Or perhaps in either case they simply didn't know any better. Even if they were raised better and knew better, something touched a negative seed in them, which grew and developed roots, affecting every aspect of their life, including what they did to you. This even applies to anything you have done to yourself. Find the place of understanding if you can.

For me I look at my parents, how they sheltered me all their lives, and I look at my grandparents, from what I can remember, and it seems pretty clear to me they never knew better. They took me out of school, stunting my social growth. They forced their religion and beliefs on me, although there was some choice and acceptance of these beliefs on my part. My dad taught me to work hard instead of helping me develop my unique skills and abilities, turning me into a plow horse, but that was how he was raised, how his father was. He used a stern hand, so did his father. As I look back it become easy for me to find that place of understanding, to forgive, let go, and move on. I can't change the past, or at least have not yet learned how to, so I need to focus on the present moment, because that is what I have. I can take the lessons of the past and build the foundation for myself of a better future right here, right now, and this is what I choose to do!

OK so that covers this tutorial/spiritual lesson. Remember to respond to fear with love, to act in a positive way towards whatever happens, not touching negative seeds in yourself and others, let go of the past and focus on the present moment, and you will be free of any blocks. You will literally be able to do anything.

I can't say I agree that Lucid Dreaming is not new age, It is undoubtly new age indulging in this activity which makes you "God" in a false world is exactly what new age is. 1111= We are all god. The message of the jinns the entities that create Lucid Dreaming in our mind in exchange for you questioning reality all the time and allowing them to use your body for god knows what. But you can believe that it is not new age that is your loss. Peace be with you jinn.

Indeed lucid dreaming seems very occult, I actually think it might help some poeple's spirituality. As far as astral projection, karma etc go i can understand why one could find these actions demonic or at least unusual as they have very little media coverage or scientific reasoning behind them.

Thank you for your contribution DreamBliss!

And to others, it's hard trying to shift into whether or not lucid dreaming is a new age phenomenon, or something that has been lost constantly and revived again with each generation.

I agree that it is useful asking the dream monsters what they represent, but as long as it doesn't turn into a happy ending every time, and is taken in moderation, this is very useful advice.

      Cheers!
