      BrainWave Generator!!!!! Please try it.

This may seem weird but please just try it. If your as enthusiastic about lucid dreams as i am then youll wanna try. This programme generates sounds at different frequency to alter your brain activity. Its says to wear headphones but i tried it last night for the first time and i had 3 vivid dreams, all at least 1-2 minutes long, without fully waking up once during the night and remembered them all in the morning. Please just try it and get back to me.

      http://www.bwgen.com/download.htm

      1. Start up the BWGen.

      2. Click Presets | New Preset

This will bring up all the options and customizable features for your pattern.

      3. Name your pattern

      4. In the length input box you should make it about how long you sleep. I sleep about 10 hours so I put in 600.

      5. Now click on the sound tab.

      6. In the binaural beat frequency portion, take the second white box and move it to 3Hz and the time should be about how long it takes you to fall asleep. It takes me 15 minutes to fall asleep so I got it as close to 15 as it will go.

      7. Move your end box to 3Hz since this is where you want it to end also.

      8. Now we need to make some checkpoints along the way to raise your consciousness. Right click somewhere in the binaural beat frequency box and click Insert New Node.

      9. Move the node to 90 minutes after your second node.

      10. Create a new node as you did in step 8.

      11. Move this node about 5 minutes after the node you made in step 9, and move it up to 10Hz.

      12. Create another node and move it 5 minutes after your previous node and put it at 3Hz.

      13. Repeat this process until you fill up your entire pattern is filled up.

      14. Listen too it and hope you have a lucid dream. This also works very well if you do MILD with it.

I tried this software. It was pretty cool I fell asleep at my computer desk while listening to it. It seemed very relaxing, but then my trial time ran out (30 days) and I could'nt see paying for it. Am thinking of getting some subliminal CD's but I astully find those more relazing when you can hear the assertions.

ive tried lucidity-inducing and sleep-inducing patterns and frequencies...they never worked for me, but im an insomniac, so i dont know.

ive been curious to see how it could help with WILD. say you wake up after 5 hours, and create a short one that slowly raises the frequency after bringing it down...i think the mellowing effect of lowering frequencies could really aid in the relaxing and HI part of WILD. i transfered a nice 30min file to my ipod...i might try it tonight,

      I agree. Try it.

I spent the $40 to buy it and it's the best piece of software I've ever bought. But don't waste too much time downloading other peoples presets and trying them. Take the time to learn how to use the program, so you can generate your own customized sounds just for yourself. You won't regret it.

Most of the presents available for download that are produced by others are way too high pitched for me, and would just give me a headache, so I make my own presents using much much lower and relaxing pitches.

I also don't use headphones. I just have two small speakers, one on each side of my head as this produces close to the same effect as a headset but is much less constraining, and much more comfortable.

One thing to watch with very low frequencies, 100 and below, is that they can really carry well, so can sometimes be heard in other parts of your house even louder than you might hear them, so be careful not to piss off other household members like I have on occasion.

I can't say that binaural beats have ever done a great deal for me, I've fallen asleep listening to them on numerous occasions and no matter the frequency I always wake up feeling drained and slightly odd. I do think that binaural beats have some kind of effect, but it doesn't seem to be earth shattering, and for me, not particularly positive. I guess any continuous noise could be beneficial in trying to get lucid however.

I guess its a personal prefrence then. Some enjoy it some don't. personally it made me remember alot more of my dreams than i usually would. I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep and this helped heaps. I agree with you (iadr) about the other presets being too high pitched. They give me a headache too. The programme isnt too tricky t all so im sure il be making my own presets in no time.

Question: Do I have to use stereo headphones?

Answer: Yes. The whole idea of BrainWave Generator and binaural beats is based on being able to hear different tones in different ears. This effect cannot be attained with loudspeakers.

I use the sounds I create from the Brainwave generator as background noise and run the speakers from my computer for it. I also have two more speakers behind them from an MP3 player next to my bed that I use for playing soft music with suggestions on dream recall and becoming lucid. For me the speakers work better than headphones, because I tend to take headphones off during the night in my sleep, so lose the benefit from them, while the speakers remain in place and have an amazing ability to wake me up every hour or two in the middle of my dreams.

I find that the speakers work fine for me. If i used headphones they wouldnt last the night, id probably end up strangling myself with the cord from all my movment during LD's lol.
It didnt work as well for me last night as it did the first night but i still had 2-3 dreams but still no lucid ones Still aint clicking onto the dream signs.

      whats movie with salma blair?

There's other ways to induce brainaves through audio without using binaural beats.

      Check here: http://www.transparentcorp.com/

I've had Brain Sound Studio for a few months and the Cd's I make with it work great without headphones.

Wow. I tried this last night and was shocked to find it works. A few weeks ago I tried to make a playlist of music to try and time after time I couldnt even fall asleep with headphones on, put this thing on and I was out in 10 minutes. I remember two dreams, not lucid but extremely vivid and short. It only worked for one or two because I assume after that point I moved around enough so that when I woke up my headphones were all tangled up and near my knees.

I noticed the program came with some pre made presets and one was to aid in going to sleeping. a) I wonder if it works and B) If it does I wonder if theres a way to set it up so it plays that one for the first 20 or 30 minutes and then switches to the dream one.

Either way I'm pleasently suprised with this program and I think I'll start looking under some rocks.

no need to look under any rocks -- I downloaded it months ago and tried it. Found it pretty relaxing as far as getting me to sleep, but no LD's from it.

Anyway, I just programmed my own preset, exported it as wav file, then converted it to an MP3. The "session" is four hours long and I put it on my iPod. No need to use the program again.

I was just stopping by here wanting to ask how to listen to it on some kind of a player. I can't sleep here on the computer. So how do I convert it to Wav?

Never mind, I found out myself. Sorry

By the way. Has anyone tried that "creativity increase" or whatever? I was just wondering if it works, but I guess I'll just try it myself..

i shall try this program to. why doesn't everyone who uses it report back and tell if it works for them. just a quick "yea, gave me an ld" or a "yea, rmemeber 2 dreams" or a "no, headphones almost strangled me to death"
and when he gets to heaven, to saint peter he will tell. "one more soldier reporting sir. i've served my time in hell"

      OK Sinar. Iadr reporing in.

I remembered 6 dreams last night, most of which were vivid and quite active, using a preset I created from the Brainwave generator, and that's about my average because I remembered 170 dreams last month using it. I'm still working on becoming lucid though as I tend to wake up right in the middle of my dreams every hour and a half to two hours.

You probably won't succeed with this program by using the included presets or downloading other peoples presets and using them, as many of them know very little more than you will. You need to go thru the help files and learn to make your own programs with it. That way you can tailor the program to produce the kinds of sounds that work for you, and you will succeed if you learn how to do that.

As for everyone wanting to know how to get this program for free, just go to Google and type something like Brainwave Generator Cracks, and I'm sure you will find plenty. You better make sure you have a good firewall and up to date virus checker though, because many of the sites that offer these cracks will try to give you a virus in return for their service. Probably not worth it, especially since it only costs $40 to legimately own the program, and since the program tries to connect to the internet, meaning you would need to have it turned off in your firewall to keep it from connecting to the internet and letting them know you have an illegal copy.
