Lucid dreaming, astral projection and self hypnosis.
Some years ago I did quite a bit of lucid dreaming.
I use Lucid dreaming*as a technique to experiment with astral projection.
I will relate the techniques that I found useful.
I was fortunate enough to take a workshop from a noted stage hypnotist.
The focus of the workshop was self hypnosis.
Later at University my faculty advisor at the psychology department, Dr. Richard Anderson.
Was at one time, a stage hypnotist and professional gambler.
I've seen both of these guys do some fairly incredible things with hypnotism.
When I was at University I use the combination of lucid dreaming and self hypnosis for study. It was great for studying such subjects as mathematics and chemistry.
Since you're subconscious has a photographic memory.
It took a lot of the pain out of the*laborious task of doing homework, I was able to do it while I slept and dreamed.
The first thing you need to do is become proficient at self hypnosis specifically autosuggestion.
This is something you can probably pick up on the Internet or learn from a book.
You need to be able to *empirically gauge your proficiency with the technique of autosuggestion.
This is the experiment I set up that worked quite well for me.*
I would set my alarm clock to wake up at a specific time the next morning.
Before I went to sleep I would go into the state of self hypnosis and give myself an autosuggestion to the effect that.*
"I would wake up just prior to the alarm going off."
It didn't take very long till I was able to do this 100% of the time.
Once this is accomplished you can be certain that your auto suggestions are working.
The next step is to give yourself an autosuggestion, something to the effect of.
"When I'm dreaming and I look at my hands I will become fully aware and conscious that I am in a dream, however I will not wake up!"
This technique should give you the consciousness and control to do whatever you like in the Lucid dream State.
If anyone is interested I can do another post on how to move into the astral projection state.
