Question "Taking semi-lucids as a given and don't care" problem

Hello. I have this problem that everytime I dream, most of the times I have a semi-lucid dream. I have gotten so used to these semi-lucid dreams that I no longer pay attention to them. Mostly the reason being is that I've had them before I found out about lucid dreaming.

They consist of these two scenarios - I just go along with the flow of the dream, not caring really or I just tell stuff to happen in my mind and it happens with me paying no extra attention to it, even though I myself am the cause of this event unfolding. This has gotten me into some problems with lucid dreaming. Multiple times have I experienced these Lucid dreams, but because of them I have gotten so used to stuff like that happening, that I rarely find it able to realize that I am dreaming inside the dream unless I have a strong way of finding out or just do a RC in the middle of it, which I don't because I take it as granted.

This thing is inhibiting my progress in entering a lucid dream from an already formed dream and I am really bad at WILDs which in turn makes entering a Lucid dream from an already there dream very hard.

So my question is - Is there any ways I can prevent having Semi-lucid dreams, ultilize them in my use or any tips at all on how to proceed with attaining lucidity?

      Thanks for reading this.

You might try working more on your reality checks. Having a good trigger might be what you need to have that "A-Ha!" moment that takes you from a semi-lucid to a fully lucid dream.

List some of your common dream signs - being in school, talking to animals, etc. Make a list of things you commonly see in dreams and spend a few weeks recognizing them as a dream sign. Paying attention to these elements may lead you to recognizing them immediately and trigger your awareness along with a RC.

      Hope that helps.

I understand your problem. It's happened to me. I took the Intro Class in the DVA Academy and it really helped me focus my efforts. Try joining in and see if that helps you.
