So hard to transform from SP to lucid dream

      Hey,

All of my 19yo life i've been pretty prone to sleep paralysis, but I've learned that if I keep a regular sleep pattern, then i won't get any. However atm I'm working and I have 1-2 nightshifts a week which is messing up my sleep real bad. One day I go to sleep 11pm, next day 2Am and the next one 5 AM. That why I've been suffering almost every night from sleep paralysis..

Anyhow it doesn't really bother me that much as Im used to it, but I can't go to Lucid dream from this SP phase to save my own life. I've tried ''imagining a place'', ''sinking in your bed''..etc just can't work.

Everytime I get SP I focus and try my hardest to enter REM-sleep and then dream but I just can't do it. I would love to know if there's any techniques I could use that I haven't come accross.

      Thank you !

Well for me going Lucid using SP is the easiest way because you can just float out of your bed and walk out of your house like any other day,i just wait for the vibrations to go away and then visualize my body floating away and it does, don't focus to hard just visualize it and let it happen...maybe it's because your looking at SP as "suffering"..that's your first mistake, you have to want it,love it,embrace it....use iT!

Thanks for the reply. I definitely hate the feeling. I've yet to actually try to 'get comfortable' with SP

One question I've always wondered. When I have my eyes open in SP, are my eyes closed and I'm dreaming?? Or are my physical eyes really open too??

You should be able to tell the difference from having your physical eyes open or not if you didnt open them and start seeing things, then you're physical eyes are closed most likely.
Also if you feel that your in sp your just already in the dream, just try to exit, stand up, dont think it, do it. If you happen to move physical body while trying to move, then you're not in sp.

Use the hypnogogia you experience during sleep paralysis to create the dream scene. Imagine the sights and sounds you want to experience, and the hypnogogia will become more and more vivid until you are actually inside the dream.
