RC every time you wake up

Searched and couldn't find another thread on this... So i apologize if i missed it.
Recently I have started doing a RC every time i wake. I started with a post it note next to my bed and eventually it became habit and greatly helped my LD rate.

I would say in about half of the dreams that im able to remember from the very beginning, have started with me waking up; and now false awakenings are a thing of the past

Every time i wake up, i do a RC, and sometimes if things feel kinda strange, ill do a second. If they both fail, i get my dream journal and write down my dreams.
If one is successful i usually start by flying out my window =)

And i started this technique always doing only one, and sometimes it wouldnt work when i was actually dreaming (not sure why, maybe just out of habit i expected it not work or something). Having the second one has been pretty much foolproof for me.

After having enough success, i started to expect to be dreaming whenever i wake up. This has led to even more of my dreams starting with me waking up lol. This has also helped raise my LD count. Also, i always do WBTB.

Just wanted to share my success with this technique, hope it can help someone else too

I'm pretty sure many people do this by default already, but really great job on finding it out on your own! I, too, reality check everytime I wake up, and indeed, it helps catch those annoying false awakenings. Thank you for sharing your insight, I'm sure this will help a lot of people who don't do this yet.

Keep it up, and happy dreaming!

      Sage and lucidboy like this.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
