Question Can someone help? WBTB X WILD/DEILD

Hey guys, I've been trying to wild for sometime now and for some reason I can't. Let me explain some factors that might interfere with my succession in using this method. For starters, I use a semi-broken fan in my room because it's summer time and my room even at night, typically feels like a furnace. I try to eliminate the noise by using some earbud headphones but then I won't hear my alarm for WBTB. Another factor is what I use to stay conscious while I go to sleep. I tried the pain method as mentioned by someone here on the forum by putting pressure on one of my hands either with one of my arms or both of my legs. I also try the well known counting my breaths. It never works out for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for mantras or any sleeping positions that might assist me in trying to go WILD? For DEILD, I just need together used to staying still after hearing my alarm. But the main questions I have are: does swallowing alter my ability to wild? Are there any effective mantras that might further assist me in achieving my first wild? What steps should I take post WBTB in order to WILD effectively? Much thanks and keep dreaming!!

The fan might be a problem as it can distract you too much. Swallowing only ruins the attempt if you are deep into it and you pay too much attention to it, it also depends on which guide you follow. I can't help you much more for Wild but I just released a Deild guide (in my signature) which might answer some of your mantra questions.

Yeah I read and appreciated your tutorial. The alarm just jolts me awake and sometimes it's hard to keep my eyes closed...do you think an eye cover would help?

For some people it does. You can also use to help you stay still when you wake up, by associating the feeling of the mask with having to stay still when you wake up. ALot of people find that it distracts them too, I guess you'll just have to try it out.
