Can I duct tape my eyes closed for DEILD?

I'm so serious , the last time I attempted to DEILD I opened my eyes , so If I have something holding them down....yeah , so will this work or should I try something else?

Please don't duct tape your eyes. The shock of waking up like that will ruin your chances at a DEILD. If you open your eyes when you wake up just close them and continue your attempt.

waking up without moving or opening your eyes doesnt guarantee a DEILD.

Focus more on the not-moving part if you wake up and open your eyes you can simply close them

If you remember the previous dream with a fresh memory you are almost guaranteed to succeed because thne you know you are either in REM or close to REM.

It is possible to separate without being in REM as well but then your doing something called REM-Rebound and then you are very lucky.

use a blindfold. if you dont have one, find a soft shirt, stretch it out a little, and use a rubber band or a shoelace to tie it around your head. works for me
