      thinking when falling asleep

      Hi,

      I recently read about a technique which consist of thinking "I am no lucid dreaming, I am no lucid dreaming, I am no lucid dreaming, I am no lucid dreaming, ..."

      while falling asleep.
      Thing is, I have the ability to stop thinking, and when I go to sleep I just stop thinking, this allow me to fall asleep in 5 minutes.

      yesterday I thinked "I am no lucid dreaming, I am no lucid dreaming, ..." and 40 minutes later I was still not sleeping.
      So I stopped thinking, and I was sleeping.

      Can you think while falling asleep? should I have just continued?

      thanks =D

      It's called Mantras. And I think you'd have to say "I'm now lucid dreaming".
      This is a Chillstep / Drum & Bass song I'm currently working on: Check it out!

      Yes, I meant I am now lucid dreaming.

      So some people can fall asleep while doing those Mantras?

      If you not too sleepy when going to bed, don't start with mantras, untill you feel like you could fall asleep soon. Otherwise, they will keep you awake. And pick some short and simple mantra, so you don't have to concentrate on it or think about the words. "I'm dreaming" should do.
