      Need help with obtaining lucidity

Ok, I have recently began to learn about lucidity,(2 or 3 days so far) and I want to know how long it would take me to get myself to have an obe/lucid dream.I have been trying for last few days but I keep falling asleep waking up the next morning thinking how dumb I was to not realise I was dreaming...For instance, I was getting chased by midget clowns on mini cylcles and dint know I was dreaming....So i was just wondering if anyone could help me out as far as making my self realise its a dream.
      You guys suck.

If you never ask yourself if your dreaming during the day, you will most likely never ask yourself in a dream. Also, developing some personal dreamsigns would be helpful. For example, if you walk through a lot of doors in your dreams, then everytime you walk through a door do a reality check. If you can do this, then you will probably do it in your dream. Good luck.

I have heard many times that its an all of a sudden burst of realization from the concious mind and all of the senses.

No, I'm sure you'd know you were in your own little world. That could account for people doing erm.. bad things.. that they normally wouldn't do in the real world.

for me it isn't like I am in a "different world" I am just there and I know that I can do what I want. It is like something happens in my dream I know I am dreaming so I can do whatever I want. I don't know how else to explain it.

Good job with the wild. As for staying asleep here is what I do: when you start LD it hits you. For me I think hey I am dreaming but I don't take controll over the dream. After about 3 min (I am guessing I can't really tel time) I then slowly take over. That way I don't wake up.
Love like you have never been hurt before

      Hello again everyone,
And a very warm welcome to you ffx-dreamz,
I just wanted to say that I am having some skepticism on ffx-dreamz's claim. I think many of the members in this forum have tried to have a lucid dream (MILD or WILD), but I don't think anyone could have had one in such a short time. I believe that there are some others that have the same opinion. Seeker for instance, how come he has not welcomed our new friend? That is not usual, especially for him, he has been trying WILD for a very long time and has yet to succeed. Now as for ffx-dreamz, I read your profile and you say that you are in seventh grade, I do not mean to sound like an old man, but let me tell you a story about someone I know and what happened to him. When I was in tenth grade, my brother met a girl that liked him, he was in twelvth grade and she claimed to be in eleventh. Most of his friends made fun of him because she looked so young, but he did not care. Then one day when they were going out, she brought her cousin over, who claimed to be in tenth grade also. I knew just by looking at her she was lying, so did everyone else. Some time in the future my brother found out his girlfriend was in ninth grade, and her cousin was in fifth grade. Now lets get back to my main point. You are in seventh grade and claim to have done something that is very hard to do, and you claim to have done it in less than a week. Now would you like to confess? If you are going to be part of this forum, please be honest. If you apologize, I am sure we will all forgive you, just do not do it again. With that said and done, I would like to welcome you once again, as if that never happened.

honestly I believe what I had was a WILD, whatever you want to believe is up to you. Anyway if you think it is required then I apologize, but I really believe I did Wild. All I know is I attempted WILD and had the result of a lucid/semi-lucid dream. How I managed that might have been that I fell asleep and reconized a sign, but im pretty sure that I did WILD and if I have offended you by saying that I did something that I might/might not have done I am sorry.Anyway no hard feelings
      You guys suck.

You're being over skeptical. Many people are much naturally inclined to have these more easily.

Now Artelis, is it not possible that he is lying? (no offence ffx-dreamz) I guess it got on my nerves that someone that has not learned almost anything at all about lucid dreaming could get a lucid dream in about five or six days. It is not that I do not like you ffx-dreamz, it is just because I got that far alittle over a month, and I only realized I was dreaming once. I have been reading so much on it and have been doing reality checks every day, and I also keep a journal. I guess I got somewhat frustrated, and I apologize for that. Sorry.

That is a plastic jesus doll, is it not?

Come on, everything people say could be a lie or the truth. If we all kept thinking that everything that is being said might be a lie, we'd never get anything done. For example, the sentence I'm saying right now could be a lie.

Although we're all such nice people here we wouldn't lie, would we?

1st off, I have no reason to lie about my progress, because if I did what would that gain me? Anyway I accept your apology and would like to say im sorry for....well everything I did to make you mad, now if you accept we can let the subject drop and continue with our lives.
