      Breaking a dry spell

Hey everyone it's been like 2 months since my last lucid and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have been doing the whole mantras + RC's to induce DILD's. Up until 2 months ago it was going great. I had my first LD with this method and 4 more shortly after. Do I need to switch up methods to get my lucidity back or is this just something that goes away.

ps. If it matters, my non-lucid dreams have been just as frequent and vivid since the lucid's stopped.

You can add another method or two. But I would also invest in some new RCs and mantras to make it interesting for your mind.

Did anything change in your life? School started, more stress, different bed time? All of this could effect your dreaming. Are you putting emotions into RCs?

      BTW, dry spells are normal.

Gab makes some good points. I find the number one reason for dry spells, personally, is stress. I graph everything related to sleep, meditation, etc and always find that above a threshold, stress just kills lucidity.

Alternately, I find I can get dry spells when my techniques are so consistent that I don't really think about them when I do them. Try a new mantra or a different kind of reality check. If you haven't thought about what you want to do when you lucid dream, day dream about that a bit and get excited about what you will do.

Thanks. Yes I have been very stressed out lately. More than usual. I will be sure to try all of these suggestions.
