I've been struggling to conquer my fears, primarily related social interaction. T__T I want to stop being so shy. Recently I felt I improved though. I had a presentation for school and was worried about it, but that morning I had also had a scary lucid dream. I then used that dream to help me gain confidence to present. I just reminded myself that I've faced way scarier things in my dreams than simply presenting in front of some people. I still have a ways to go though.
Thanks for the acknowledgment ! Your example is perfect proof of how much fear can hold us back. Not that its hard to overcome, but we're just so unaware of it sometimes that it can really do damage. Once noticed and understood, fear can be washed away with such ease. Even if it isn't completely overcome over-night, improvement is gaurenteed. And persistence will increase the improvement tenfold
