      Fear

Fuck the world, Dare to Dream

Dreams and Reality. Conscious and Unconscious. Fantasy and Real Life. The differences? There are none really. Sure, its pretty obvious to distinguish between the two. But putting seperate labels on dream and reality is misleading in a way, and not the path of thinking you want to take to lucidity. I'm not saying life is a dream so do whatever the fuck you want and there won't be physical consequences. I am saying don't be afraid to dream, even when your awake. What do i mean by that? Well every goal or ambition we have, can only be stunted by fear. Lucid dreaming is the same case. Lucid living is the same case. You can't have true, vivid, lucid dreaming in the near future unless you are lucid in life. To me, being lucid in life feels amazing and it truly feels like waking up. The only thing keeping you from "waking up" is fear. You might be thinking "Well im not afraid. There's nothing scary to me about becoming lucid, I can't wait to experience it." Well fear isn't based on something being scary. Lucid dreaming doesn't have to seem frightening for you to fear it. Fear is when you don't fully embrace a concept due to either small doubt or uncertainty of the thing you want to attain. The smallest amount of fear can block you from attaining lucidity. So i say. Dont be afraid! In waking life and in the dreaming world. For they are one, and you are infinite. When you fall asleep don't just say I hope to become lucid, or "I will become lucid". Instead, KNOW you will be lucid. Instead, just let go of your body, you don't need it! Embrace the craziness and randomness of dream and fantasy. Embrace the darkest fears and ride them through the depths of your infinite imagination. You don't know what's going to come ahead so keep it that way! Let the dream unfold before you! Observe then interact with your wishes and commands. You gotta let go before you can control. And thats real. Fear holds us back. From everything. Yes, everything... So fuck the world, and dare to dream.
      Peace

Couldn't have said it better myself.

The only reason why I have lucids so frequently is because I live lucidly. I don't think this is more real than our dreams, nor do I think dreams are more real than this daily life.

And the best way you could sum up this mentality is : Fuck the world, and dare to dream.

Thanks everyone! This is such an important key to both life and dreaming, and clearly defines our perception. Glad that you all understood and enjoyed it

DalaBuds wow you should be proud of yourself because at such young age you have realized something so significant , i am 30 and i have just realized the same thing , being afraid can become a habit that we get used to and to break that habit is not that easy but i am gonna try to face my fears and not let them control me any more. Thanks for sharing this amazing and eye opening truth with us here.

That was beautiful. :') Very inspiring.

I've been struggling to conquer my fears, primarily related social interaction. T__T I want to stop being so shy. Recently I felt I improved though. I had a presentation for school and was worried about it, but that morning I had also had a scary lucid dream. I then used that dream to help me gain confidence to present. I just reminded myself that I've faced way scarier things in my dreams than simply presenting in front of some people. I still have a ways to go though.

Thanks for the acknowledgment ! Your example is perfect proof of how much fear can hold us back. Not that its hard to overcome, but we're just so unaware of it sometimes that it can really do damage. Once noticed and understood, fear can be washed away with such ease. Even if it isn't completely overcome over-night, improvement is gaurenteed. And persistence will increase the improvement tenfold

Thank You! I'm really loving the response I'm gettin on this! The response from you guys alone really shows how damn great it feels; How extremely free and naked you feel after peeling fear off your soul and lettin it shine. Lettin it breath! So you can do the work of your dreams. Embrace everything and nothing can defeat you
