Confused whether or not I had my first LD

Last night (or this morning), I woke up around 7, failed my DEILD, and was going to try to WILD but was too lazy/tired, so i went back to sleep. I had a normal dream. However, after the dream, I remember waking up, not moving, and keeping my eyes closed. Within 5 seconds I was in sleep paralysis, but then I was out of it again. 10 seconds later, I was back in sleep paralysis. I tried to envision the same scene I had last dream -- I was in my front lawn poorly raking leaves. All of the sudden, there I am on the driveway of my house. I started spinning around and rubbing my hands. I also had my iPod/iPhone with what seemed to have a thousand apps in my pocket, so I turned that on and put in the earbuds. Finally, I tried flying, and it was a success my first attempt. I began flying around above my house, first straight up, and then I started doing tight circles. When I landed, I decided I wanted to try sex (lol, but who wouldn't wand to try). So I tried to think of someone I'd like to have sex with, and then I appeared in my mothers bedroom, only the bed was facing the other way, with these two very attractive girls. That's all I'll say about that scene. After that, I woke up in my normal bed and went down to write this.

During the dream, it felt like I was actually lucid. My dream was unstable and short like they normally are (scene's constantly changing, very short time in one setting). I remember repeatedly thinking to my self "Omg I'm actually lucid!". But when I woke up, I began second guessing myself. I tried to DEILD after the maybe lucid dream, but failed. I was thinking "How could I have had a lucid dream, and how could I have been able to fly or have sex in it -- two things that people say are difficult." I also recalled that the dream may not have been very clear.

Is there a way to know for sure whether my dream was actually lucid, or if I was just second guessing myself? Thanks for reading this.

Also, something I forgot to mention, is that after my successful DEILD, I instantly knew I was in a dream. I didn't do any reality checks and I have very poor awareness (I don't practice it), but i just "knew" I was in a dream, and proceeded to have fun.

I want to clarify now that I have more time. I don't know if I did my deild in reality or in a dream since my eyes were closed. Also, I didn't exactly appear in the same spot as my previous dream. Instead I appeared inside my house in my living room along with the two girls. I didn't have enough time to type everything earlier so I kind of mixed up the story

It doesn't matter if you were dreaming the dream-entry or not, or if you realized that part was a dream or not (in fact, what you did was great! Whenever I'm unsure if I'm dreaming SP, I ride it out until a scene solidifies, or until I can see through closed eyelids). If you realized you were dreaming while in a dream, then you were lucid. You are lucid for the entire period you knew you were dreaming. You can fade out of lucidity, and you can have 'low' lucidity (for instance, where you realize it was a dream, but still believe real people are in the dream with you, or similar thoughts). But seeing as you flew around, that was probably some clear lucidity.

You are lucid dreaming when you are aware that you are dreaming. So, it sounds like you had a lucid dream. With that said, there are different levels of awareness. You can extend a LD and increase awareness by simply observing your surroundings without becoming overly emotional. I know its hard to do... but it is do-able.

Thanks for the responses so far guys. It seems that I was in fact lucid, but at a low level (probably 2 on a 0-4 scale, from what I've read.) I'm going to try and become lucid again tonight using DEILD -- hopefully with success. I'll try to take note of my surroundings if I do become lucid. If not, I'll try again : )

Well, last night wasn't very successful, but I learned to use reality checks every time I get up.

Basically, after one of my dreams, I woke up and tried my best to remain still and keep my eyes closed. I drifted into sleep paralysis, but my dad woke me up, and even after I told him to give me 30 more minutes, I couldn't fall back into sleep paralysis, so I got up. I went down to my living room, everything appearing normal, and opened the door to my cousin. After greeting him, I woke up again, in my bed again, just like before. I was thinking "wtf is going on" so I did a reality check this time, and it failed, meaning it was reality. My dream I was just in seemed so real -- I had no clue it was a false awakening.

Aside from this, I have another question: Is it possible to become lucid by doing a DEILD during a false awakening? Say my dream dad didn't wake me up. Could I have fallen back sleep in my dream, resulting in another dream, only lucid?

Well it happened to me 2 days ago..I had a FA and then tried to DEILD,i felt like my blanket was against me or sth i dont know how to express it but i ended up on the floor next to my bed did a reality check and it worked..Same thing happened 3 times but onlv the 2 were lucid cause the 3rd time i moved my body and thought that would be waste of time to DEILD..That was a weird experience because i had never thought that this is possible..

OK, so last night I put in my noise cancelling earbuds, turned on some Blackmill, and went to sleep. I wanted to try inducing SP, so I first tensed up each part of my body separately, then did the 61 point relaxation technique. At this point, I was feeling very relaxed -- My hands and legs seemed to be nonexistent and I was just listening to the music. A few minutes later, I tried to put myself into SP by imagining that I cannot move my legs. 10 seconds later I faintly felt (more heard it through my headphones) vibrations, especially at my legs and feet. I got real excited when I felt this. The problem is, although I was somewhat in SP, I was never fully under it. I could still wiggle my fingers and toes, and I was still hearing things outside my body, rather than inside. Five minutes after going into partial SP, I noticed my hearing switch from outer to inner. It startled me, and my hearing quickly returned to outer. For the next 1-1.5 hours, I sat there in partial sleep paralysis, sometimes trying to go into full SP, sometimes just trying to fall asleep. Eventually I gave up and rolled over, knocking my out of SP.

I still couldn't fall asleep, but I felt my legs and feet go back into partial SP (the tingling came back). I still couldn't fall sleep, so about 30 minutes later I got up took a quick drink and went back to bed. Eventually I managed to fall sleep, but I continually awoke throughout the night, and only had one dream that I can recall.

How can I go from partial SP to full SP, where my hearing is distorted and I begin to see and hear HI? Also, if I am able to do this right as I go to bed, would I be able to do a WILD?

I also was trying to do a DEILD, but everytime I woke up, I forgot to remain still, so that never worked haha.
