      Segmented sleep schedule + WBTB

So I have a polyphasic sleep schedule, more specifically the Dual Core schedule where I take a 3.5 hour core from 21:30 to 1:00, a 1.5 hour core from 5:00 to 6:30, and a 20 minute nap from 12:00 to 12:20. What I'm wondering is if it's possible for the second core nap to count as a WBTB, even though there's a four hour difference between the cores. If not, what would be the best way to get one?

Wow. Crazy sleep schedule. REM dreams occur on and off through the night and increase in intensity. I would say your best bet would not be WBTB but to try MILD or , better yet, DEILD on those nights where you might awaken from a dream.

I actually could have had a DEILD during my 20 minute nap today before I even knew what that was. I woke up from my dream with my eyes closed and saw some crazy hypnagogic images. If I didn't have to wake up and go back to class I feel like I could have easily had a lucid dream. I'll probably try to get better at that, because I do find myself waking up halfway through my first core sleep.
