I don't think there´s an optimal definition of ADA. everyone has its own attentional style |

I just want to ask this. How often should I do ADA? I am new to this and I feel that if don't focus I don't care about my surrounding (Like I don't notice things not like I am coldblooded |

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
Aaah, so I am doing it right (probably). Thanks |

For me, ADA is when you are aware of your surroundings at specific moments of the day or all day long. I think the point of ADA is that when it becomes an habit it translates into your dreams and you become aware that you are dreaming. If you are not getting results immediately, don't be frustrated. It takes a bit a time, practice and energy for it to become an habit, so if you are not getting any results it will pay off sometime soon. |

Thanks Simon. I do RCs randomly. I had an alarm clock setup to ring every hour, but I realized that when I do it like this I don't give it enough attention. For ADA I think I got it now |

I am happy to have helped you, and I wish you good luck. Happy dreams, |

When I used to practice ADA, I used to do it the same way you're doing it. I would stop what I was doing and try focus on everything, like see everything that's in my field of vision and notice the little things, e.g. the shadows of certain objects or the pattern of the carpet. I would also try to engage all my other senses. So, if I was sitting down I would notice how the sofa cushion beneath me feels and notice how I breathe. |
