      Bummer

      So i was in a dream and i was about to steal something (dunno why) and i thought to myself, I should do a reality check to make sure im not dreaming before i do this. So i plugged my nose and tried to breath, but i dont remember not being able to or being able to breath, the whole subject of dreaming was just dropped and i continued in my unaware, non-lucid dream.

      Well, that was close.
      Sounds like reality check haven't raised your awareness enough to get lucid. Do you actually believe/expect reality checks to work when you do them in waking life? If not, do so, the purpose of questioning reality is not only to be sure whether you are dreaming or not, but also to raise awareness overall.
