      Absentminded non-sensical reality check?

      So you know how when one is tired one can do stupid absent minded non-sensical things?

      I just did a reality check by looking at a frog bath toy, looking away, and then looking at it again. And only after I was done did I realize what I was doing, that first of all I should pay attention while doing a reality check, and second why a frog? Did I expect it to turn into a prince if it were a dream?

      Have any of you also caught yourselfs absent mindedly doing something that is kind of like a reality check, but not?

      Yes I do these all the time and it's really bad. Sometimes I look at numbers and look away and turn back to check if they are same but I have already forgotten what they were in the first place, it's a bad habit and it is really counteractive. It helps when you mix in a bit of ADA or SAT or meditation to become a bit more aware.
