      Can't move during FILD! Suggestions?

      Hey everyone.

Last night I tried FILD and had some degree of success, falling into dreams almost instantly.

I had minor HH and felt like I was going into SP, but instead I experienced multiple FAs in a row. During the first FA, I wanted to sit up and do a reality check, but I found that I couldn't move my dream body or my real one! My arms seemed locked in place.

This morning, I tried again. In a similar fashion, I transitioned directly into a dream and was, this time, aware that I was dreaming. When I went to move around, though, I was once again locked in place. I tried moving my dream body, but my real body moved instead, and I woke up.

Anyone have any clue why this happened, or how to solve it? Once I get past this problem, I think FILD will be an easy and reliable technique for me.

This seems like you are experiencing a schema. You had one FA where you dreampt that you camnot move and now everytime you try a FILD you are expecting the same thing to happen again and again. Next time you attempt to FILD, try not to think about it and focus more on visualization and your HH.

      Congrats on success!
Remember that SP is not related to lucid dreaming and unless you experience it regularly due to disorder you are unlikely to experience it, most of people don't. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...mystified.html
Sounds like you are thinking too much about SP and you dream about being paralyzed, i had similar experiences a few times, instead of forcing to move try expecting to be able to move or like jblb2424 says do not think about it at all, and do not think about SP either.
