How shall I move on ?

Hey guys, (I hope this is the right board section for this)

I'm very new to lucid Dreaming. 2 Days ago I read some tutorials here on the board and tried it. The result was, that I tried to WILD at normal sleeping time. But the good thing was, that I got really relaxed and my body felt really heavy and got pushed into the bed. After a few minutes i got some crazy kind of convulsions O.o
After a few seconds they stopped. Than my muscles became really warm and my limbs felt numb. Then i fell asleep and woke up after a few seconds, as i realized. I than decided to go to sleep.
But yesterday (this night) I read some more tutorials. I first did the same thing as the day before yesterday to train this. But I also set my alert to 4 am. The funny thing is, every time i set my alert, my body wakes up 20-30 minutes before by itself.
So i was awake by 3:40 this morning and started to try WILDing. But some problems occured. When i tried to relax i didn't get the same feeling as the first time and my concentration was way more weak than usual (haha it's 3:40 am ). Then i started the breathing and counting method. Nothing special happend, but my limbs got numb and warm again. When I reached the 500 my eye wanted to open itself, so I decided it was enough for this night and let go. I watched on my clock again and it was 4:54 am! I didn't realize that time was running this fast :O

Than I lay down to sleep and the awesome thing appeared. I think I had a DILD this night. (Seems quite legit, after saying "i (lucid) dream" 500 times before )
I don't really remember much of the dream, but this is what i wrote down (and I still know):
I didn't know the location. It was something like a underwater base where the side walls were built of glass and you were able to see some fish. The only persons there, were 2 of my band-fellows (one of them my best friend). The one was doing his arts project on with a beamer for school. My best friend was playing with a Wii (wtf does this gaystation do in my mind? ), while I was just sitting there in the room. Then my cat appeared and jumped on me and (i dont know how to say it in english) crawled around my body, like cats do, when they climb a tree. This is the part where i realized it was a dream (funny: i realize its a dream when a cat attacks me, but not when where in an underwater base) because i started to laugh very hard. As i realized it, the dream started to fade and I tried to hold it back with touching the floor and the cat. I then opened my eyes and the dream and could clearly see the cat sitting on the floor, but then the dream broke.

That is everything I remember. It really doesn't make sense, but I think it was my first DILD I consciously initiated.
I'm very suprised this took place already 2 days after getting into this. But I don't really know what step to go now. How often should I practise ? Did I make a mistake ?
      Any useful tips ?
Because Im having vacations for 2 weeks now, where i can unhesitatingly practise.

try stabilizing the dream by spinning round, its a good way to keep a dream going.

Congrats You had a DILD, as you correctly say. You get these type of lucids by practicing method called MILD, which I recommend you practice. You can find this and many other tutorials in DV Wiki. I would add to it Sporadic awareness technique and of course, dream journaling. Mantras (sentence you repeat to yourself) are very powerfull, keep doing them. Also check out the stabilization techniques. Happy dreams

In this SAD-tutorial stands, that you should recall 1 dream per night. I will wait until i practised MILDing to this level.
Tonight I'm going to MILD at first and then WILD at 4 o' clock.
Those Mantras really helped me. I will keep on using them.
