It sounds like you have a good start. Now instead of doing it at naptime, try it like this...go to bed earlier than usual, wake up in the early am, anytime between 4 and 7 (depending on your schedule) and stay awake for at LEAST 60 minutes ( I do 90+, but no more than 2) then try your WILD technique, and it's pretty easy to slip into dream. I think the problem you're having is that you're not really tired enough to fall into deep sleep, also, it's been too long since you've been in REM sleep. All you're really doing is reaching a deep state of relaxation and meditation. If you want, send me a PM and I'll send you an article on it.
