When you do your reality checks, do you actually do them with feeling? I mean do you really convince yourself that you're dreaming? My awareness is what makes me lucid but when I RC that really just confirms it, then I take control. |

I realize I'm dreaming, or tell myself I'm dreaming while in a dream, but I just keep dreaming without gaining lucidity. It's as if I'm forgetting moments after realizing, because I never try to take control. Also, I've had success with DILDs before and recall everything becoming extremely vivid and easy to control. I stopped trying to lucid dream for a while and now it's like it just doesn't work. |

DILD: 150 | DEILD: 8 | WILD: 20
How long has this been going on? I remember I used to have such issues for a while when I first learned lucid dreaming but I kept it up and eventually issues went away, so tenacity is one method. Do not say that DILD is not working for you. It is working. You are becoming lucid briefly. Your problem is that you are not sustaining lucidity. Stabilization techniques might help with that, like as soon as you realize it is a dream focus on your hands for a while and will the lucid dream to become more stable. Also be sure to think of even those short lucids as successes, and will yourself to have more lucid dreams but do not tell yourself "but not like that" since that might send you mixed messages. |

You may say I'm a dreamer.
But I'm not the only one - John Lennon
It's been going on for a long time now. Thanks for the stabilization tip i'll be sure to try that next time. |
