      RC's in Dream

Hey guys. I just want to take a quick moment to share what happened in my dream last night with you all. I had a dream where I believe I did 2 reality checks: the nose-pinch and morphing text one; however, I didn't become lucid! I think this may be due to me not putting enough thought into them during waking life and just going through the motions.

Please share with me your thoughts

Yeah, when you practice reality checks you really need to actually question your surroudings, otherwise they will become a pointless routine and won't trigger anything in dreams either.
You should always feel a degree of genuine skepticism when you perform reality checks - always think for yourself "how can I be sure that I actually am awake?" how can I prove it to myself right now?".

Don't get discouraged by how realistic everything feels, sometimes you can feel just as sure in an actual dream and then wake up.
This has happened to me many times, like "bah, of course I am awake, everything feels so real!", only to wake up and slap myself in the face.

I agree with Laurelindo. When I do reality checks I genuinely doubt my current reality. Not only do I do a reality check (Look at some text, look away and will it to be different, and then look back at the text, or counting my fingers), I also ask myself "How did I get here?" "Where was I before I got here?"

Unfortunately, developing this habit so deeply that it passes into your dream life on a regular basis can take some time.
