      Almost!

So earlier today i decided to take a nap after a hot bath as i was super tired and my little sister woke me up wayyy too early this morning. The past 3 days ive been trying to lucid dream. I've kept a journal, done reality checks from time to time and repeated mantras. While i napped i dreamed everyone else was doing a reality check! There were 4 or 5 other people standing around me pushing their fingers through the palms of their hands and dream me did not take the hint! I was like why is everyone doing that? And i did not do the reality check myself although everyone else in the dream seemed to be trying to get me to do it!!! Grrrr!! Ehat else should I do? Just what i am doing? Its only been 3 days and i was not expecting results so soon but my nap made me so frustrated! I should have taken the hint

Ooh, so close! You're almost there!

You had very low awareness so that's why you didn't really react and do a reality check of your own. Doing RCs and saying mantras to become lucid is great, and it's awesome that all this practise is already in your dreams, but I think you need to practise awareness. Don't walk around all day like a zombie; stay aware of what you're doing and what's around you. Question your reality and add a couple of RCs. Awareness is usually what gets people lucid; the RC just confirms you're dreaming.

It usually takes awhile, mine was 2 weeks till my first lucid. I've done the same thing because my awareness was low. All I did was RCs cuz I didn't know about it and after I've been doing that i got lucid. So just keep trying!

Yes awareness has been the biggest booster for me. I have yet to go lucid but I just finished going through a spot of no dreams when I had stopped doing the awareness practices. I lost motivation and knew that if I was going to ever attain lucidity I would have start bringing myself out of the loop of every day life. I read that I should start questioning reality every hour. As soon as I began doing this and then setting a goal of remembering my dream they came back as I knew they would. Coming to this forum often is another fountain of motivation. When I practice confidence and certainty that its going to happen things begin to manifest. Power to the dreamer!
