Keep trying, but also try to lay off the binaural beats, I'd say. When you hit 'sleep paralysis', the point is to let your mind's imagery float freely without drifting, and then as the hypnagogic imagery manifests more clearly as actual scenes, you work on them, and try to incorporate your own movements and sensations, like smell and hearing. Even taste and feeling can be put in there. Don't overwork it though, just do simple impulses with your brain, that basically nudges the imagery and feelings in the right direction.
In a WILD I did one time, I had the imagery of myself on a bicycle. As I imagined the wind and treading the pedals, I manifested into the dream.
